For adult cat, feed approximately 2 1/2 pouches per day per 7 lbs of body weight. Offer clean, fresh water. Refrigerate opened pouch.
The best way to transition to a new food is to switch gradually over the course of 7-10 days. For example, make a mixture that contains 25% of the new food and 75% of the old food and feed that for three days. Then make it 50-50 for three more days, then 75% new food and 25% old food for three more days. If your cat seems comfortable with this progression, you can start feeding 100% new food. If at any time your pet starts vomiting, has loose stools, or appears constipated, slow the rate at which you are switching the food. If problems continue to occur, consult your veterinarian.
I had to laugh at all of the "fussy" cats who hated this stuff. I tried it on a whim once and voila, it is the ONLY wet food Joplin will eat! She had never had wet food before until she came to us, but she had to have bladder stone surgery. We tried every kind of Rx wet food, no dice. So we compromised on Rx dry and a little bit of this as breakfast (our other 2 get wet food at breakfast too). She absolutely goes nuts for it - in fact, we had to train her NOT to get us up at 4am for breakfast, but wait til 6.
I have a 3yr old calico who has a sensitive stomach and is on a hydrolyzed protein veterinary diet. However, about once a month she’ll have a few days where she can’t keep her food down, so I bought these with the hope that it would absorb into her system fast enough she could still get some nutrition instead of fasting for 3-7 days. Unfortunately she doesn’t seem to be a fan of this product—she’ll lick at it and eat maybe a third of it before she gets up and walks away. Her brother has no problem cleaning up after her though. Once I finish the last two packs (since her brother the orange tabby will eat anything) I won’t be buying this again.
My cat Cotton is being treated for pancreatitis and had lost a lot of weight. As he was not eating his usual cat food we hoped this new food Tiki Cat fussy cat would work. Thankfully he likes the food and is beginning to resume his usual eating habits. Thank you for this lifesaver! It really works.
My senior usually loves the mousse from Tiki. She loves the LIGHT chicken. Shes not a fan of this unfortunately. Ill keep offering it if not maybe the kittens will eat it. Weird because she’s normally not too fussy yet this is called FUSSY CAT I like how low it is in carbs on dry matter basis
My one cat is incredibly picky when it comes to food, and he seems to love this stuff.
I purchased this because my cats love another flavor of the velvet mouse by this brand. I thought they would like this, but alas. They take a few licks and leave it alone. If you have a cat that loves liver, this could work for you.
Such an odd flavor choice for fussy cats, but I thought I'd give it a try. My fussy cat wouldn't touch it and neither would her brother who would eat anything until we tried this. The chicken velvet tiki is our go-to on fussy days, or the salmon velvet tiki when they have the sniffles and can't smell too good.
My cat likes the other flavors from this brand but just not this one. She wouldn't take a single lick of it
Although my cat loves this brand, he won't touch this particular one.
My 11-year-old cat, who has severe GI issues, became very picky about her food a few years back. I would have to constantly buy new brands and flavors of food every week to find something she would eat. After years of searching and wasting hundreds of dollars on other foods, this is the only food I have found where she will lick the bowl clean and not turn her nose up to it a few days later. I've been feeding it to her for months now and have not had a single issue or GI episode. Please do not ever stop carrying this food, I don't know what I would do without it!
