Can this be used as a ration balancer when fed with hay?

Kalm 'N EZ Textured is designed to be feed at larger volumes and is not a ration balancer. If your horse is maintaining it's body condition on hay and pasture alone, it's recommended to give Tribute Equine Nutrition Essential K Horse Feed instead.

I have tried a few feeds and this is the one I always come back too. I personally have known several OTTB that have become a lot more hot when given any feed with Molasses in so the fact that this feed has none is a huge plus. I feed about 8 lb of this a day split into two feeds and my OTTB has never looked better. He enjoys his dinner and eats it well.

Jackson was having watery stool issues from fecal water syndrome (FWS)He had runny poop caked on his backside and down his hind legs as well as on his blanket and tail. I have been using Kalm Ez pellet feed for a couple weeks and Jackson was gradually transitioned to this feed. His FWS has improved significantly and is almost completely gone. I will continue to feed Kalm ex pellets to him.

Excellent feed

I rescued another horse that was so emaciated, he was days from the rainbow bridge, per the vet. I use Tribute for my other three, so started Rusty on it as well

Molassses free and low NSC

Great for 2 horses with metabolic issues. Have been on this for a couple years, and both horses are doing well. (Older draft-cross horses.)
