I love the blend and fixed ingredients, it keeps my English horse calm and focused, and in perfect weight and shape
My Cushings horse dove right into this feed when I first offered it to her. She likes it.
High quality nutrition. Chewy is the only place I can purchase Tribute feeds after relocating.
Thanks Chewy for getting my horses Kalm n ez delivered to me in record time! You are the BEST!
Let me clarify this review a little. Will I recommend this horse food itself to a friend? 100000% YES. Buying it from Chewy? Absolutely NOT. This food was a saving grace for my three senior horses. 2 have PSSM and are hard keepers, the other is sensitive to molasses and oats, and this leads all to be very hot headed at times on normal feeds. They have been so level headed and reasonable, no tie-ups, no major weight problems but the expected extra maintenance with the eldest, and even less colic calls with our vets. ***I can’t tell you how much it PAINS ME to have to change from this feed, but I have zero choice because IT HAS MORE THAN DOUBLED IN PRICE PER BAG since I began feeding this 2 years ago!!*** It was around $24.99 a bag when I first started feeding it, I started to grit my teeth when it went to $43 in January and now it has gone up to $53.99?! I have 4 horses in total on this, on autoship, and they increased this price with absolutely no warning FYI. I’m glad we didn’t have to worry about the money, but what if it was someone who did?! Considering the company’s other products are still priced fairly normal I don’t understand this hike. Chewy is the only place I can get this feed because I am completely limited to Purina, Nutrena, and very little availability of Triple Crown locally. Really crappy.
I am really happy with how my horses are doing on this feed, but I am going to see if my feedstore can start getting it in because it should really be only 20 bucks a bag
This grain truly is a halfway decent product in the grand scheme of feeds. Beet pulp based and low carb is a win for me and my mare was doing well on it. This price increase is insane. I also am extremely disappointed that Chewy as an organization did not bother to let their customers did not bother to send a heads up email to those of us who just have things on autoship. Sending my last order back. I will not buy again. Dissatisfied is an understatment.
This is the only place I can find this feed, and the only feed that works for my mare. Started it 3 years ago and was absolutely thrilled to see the difference in her health and behavior. But the price has more than DOUBLED in the last few months for whatever reason. I can't reasonably pay over $60 for a single bag, and I see other people feel the same. Very disappointed with this. Going to have to hunt around for a quality feed from other businesses now.
The food honestly is great for hard to feed horses. I have a horse that can't eat molasses so this was a perfect food. Since I can't find the food anywhere around me the only place is chewy. Due to this insane price increase I was forced to switch feeds. These bags used to be roughly 26-30 dollars a bag. Now they are 92 dollars?!?! Yeah no I'm good. I have found another food now that is also molasses free it's local and is about 20 bucks a bag. So I guess I should really be thankful for this crazy increase in price. I have recommended this item only for the fact that it's actually good horse feed. With that being said I would recommend trying to find it somewhere else if you can or if you can't find a similar feed and/or wait to see if this goes down in price.
This is a great product, but what is up with the huge price jump. What I am pay for 2 bags I can buy 5 at the feed store!!!!!
