So I was trying to view the feeding instructions for a horse that is idle that weighs 880-1100 lbs and it does not show how many lbs for them if it is used as a complete feed with no forage (hay or grass). Could you give me an idea of how many lbs a day this would be approximately?

Great feed for senior horses

I started feeding this feed to my senior miniature horses. One has to have it soaked due to him losing some teeth. It soaks easily and he eats it all up. It helped

This product helped him gain weight

He had contracted epm which made him loose weight fast this helped stop that and get him back on track by gaining back the weight fast.

I have an older draft cross who was losing weight on just hay. His coat was dull and he was pretty lethargic. After running all the tests at the vet, she concluded

I have an older draft cross who was losing weight on just hay. His coat was dull and he was pretty lethargic. After running all the tests at the vet, she concluded that it was likely due to his teeth just being worn down. So I slowly added the senior sport to his diet, in addition to some very leafy, fine stemmed alfalfa. He’s eating about 14lbs of the senior sport a day and looks fantastic. It only took about a month for me to get his weight back up. Would highly recommend!

My 2 old boys love this feed. I was looking for a feed with kelp in it. I usually feed Patriot Senior and Elite Performance Race Track sweet feed, this is like a combination of both of those. Dark and rich pellets and other textured feed. Very sweet with some beet shreds and has kelp.

Almost too good

Put my 28 y/o on this after he got a little too riby and lost his top line this winter. Within a month or two he had put all of his weight back on, his top line

Put my 28 y/o on this after he got a little too riby and lost his top line this winter. Within a month or two he had put all of his weight back on, his top line improved, and his spicy im a 5 y/o personality came back in full force. Now that the grass has come in, I've had to cut him down to half (5lbs) his initial amount (10lbs) per day. He thrives on this stuff. I believe different horses benefit from different diets and have different needs, but if you are looking for a complete feed for a senior, a hard keeper, or a low sugar horse, I can not recommend starting with this feed enough!

My horses are 28 & 29, but still active. Chewy doesn't carry the brand I usually feed, so I made a switch to Tribute Senior Sport. My horses like it just fine and continue to do well. I like the convenience of delivery. Beats the 30 mile drive to the feed store I was making.
