TRIXIE Foldable Velour Pet Stairs with Storage, Gray, 4-Step, 15-in Wide

I will say these steps are so easy to put together so the outside construction is cloth over something that folds then the tops are I guess supposed to be snug enough that the step itself is supposed to fit over these holes that they say you can use for storage. I have a 10 pound 13 1/2 year old blind toy poodle that had a stroke a couple days ago but has recovered from it thank goodness. But I not only have my toy poodle but I have 2 Standard Poodles as well and they both weigh 50 pounds. I have one standard that will use the steps and her sister the other standard prefers to jump on the bed. This is what I purchased these steps for so my toy poodle can use to get on the bed with supervision. I watched my toy poodle trying to come to the very top step and I was by her side and when she reached the top to get on the bed and when she went to get on the bed she lost her balance and kicked this top step off and I caught her. If I had not been there she would’ve fell in this hole they call storage areas. I do not use it for that so had I not been home and say I left her out of the dogs room which has an installed baby gate and she tried this while I run to the store or something she would’ve fell in this hole and could have hurt herself or been so traumatized about being in a dark hole and couldn’t get out she may have had another stroke or heart attack. If you purchase these steps please be aware of the danger with these doggie steps. I recommend you look for something more durable and doesn’t have these kinds of steps. Otherwise they are the perfect height but I wouldn’t have purchased these had I known so please be careful when using for any animal. The bottom step has also popped off when when my 50lb poodle has used it and as coming up her foot didn’t quite land on the step and the step top has come off on her as well. Please invest in something much safer especially for small animals. My toy poodle could not have gotten out on her own had she fallen in those storage holes. The steps aren’t very sturdy as well I guess because whatever is under the cloth that folds up allows it to wiggle.
