good ramp so far for my 14 year old dog

By kabucha on Feb 22, 2021

I got this ramp for my 14 year old beagle/corgi mix who cannot do more than 1 step. While I am still training her on using the ramp, the ramp seems like quality material. There is a pretty good non-skid finish where the dog walks, to me it almost feels like sandpaper, but it doesn't seem to hurt the paws. It does easily scratch up though from their claws. I wish this ramp came longer. This should only be used on 1-2 steps otherwise the incline is quite steep.

Sturdy material, but not usable for us

By Name on Jan 4, 2021

I think for the right vehicle and the right dog, this is the best ramp you could find. It’s not flimsy, and no chance of buckling like the folding types. But I have an Accord touring sedan, and this doesn’t fit in the back doors. It does in the front. Either way, my 8 year old 65lb pit mix does not like it. I tried to get him used to this on the bottom stair in the house because it was less of a steep incline, but he wanted nothing to do with it, stepped off the side, and it tilted and he fell. We have steps for him to get on the bed, so I should have thought it through better before buying this. The material on top is also like sandpaper, doesn’t seem very nice for paws. Carpet would be better I think for the right vehicle and the right dog, this is the best ramp you could find. It’s not flimsy, and no chance of buckling like the folding types. Overall, it’s probably the most sturdy of the ramps I could find online, but it could be improved. Going to buy a shorter version of the stairs he’s already using next. … more

Pet ramp is specific car or SUV

By notagoodfit on Dec 30, 2020

The ramp is too high to fit on my VW Jetta. she slips and slides on it and trying to angle it on my car for her is too steep of a height to climb in the car and coming down too. It's nice and lightweight and it's not huge to carry, but unfortunately this item is not for my Holly.

    Won’t stay still

By Janice on Jan 13, 2021

My 55 lb dog will not use this. It slides around, and the tread doesn’t give her any security. She becomes all legs and slides off. Don’t bother.

Ramp is too steep and ramp is too rough.

By DJNM on Jan 16, 2021

The ramp is a bit steep. What was the breatest problem is the surface. Worse than course sandpaper. Had to out a rug on it.

    Non slip? Not!

By lovemydoggie on Dec 7, 2020

So, I got this to help my dog get up on the couch since he tore his cruciate. It says non slip. I had him try it. You'd think he was on roller skates trying to go up it. Very disappointed.

    Nice but....

By Puppy on Sep 21, 2020

This item is not useful for my animals because of it being steep when put against the bed or couch. If I put it wedged under the mattress a little, it looks better but I question the stability. I'm afraid it would slip out and then traumatize my dog. I will be experimenting because the ramp is very sturdy itself and could be great if I can stabilize it.

    Worked Great!

By Linda on Oct 8, 2020

We bought this ramp for our puppy to be able to walk outside down two steps when he got too heavy for us to easily carry in and out. It's worked perfectly for what we needed. The rough texture of the ramp helps with traction.

Great option for small dog (6-lb)

By Autrui on Aug 10, 2020

When Tori, our rescue toy Aussie, came to us, I had a Solvit ramp (folding) for her to use. It worked wonderfully for us indoors and out, however we moved to a smaller place and needed a shorter ramp. "Trixie" works very well. Tori's new game? Running up and down, as fast as she can, carrying her favorite toy, a whiffle ball....
