My dog had no problem drinking it, but she threw up yellow bile multiple times throughout the first few days. We stopped giving it to her and she went back to normal. I did some research and it is possible that she is allergic to the first ingredient in this, which is corn (Glucosamine). Just be wary if your dog has a sensitive stomach or has a corn allergy!
I've been using this tropiclean in my dogs' water for years. Not only do they have fresher breath now but it's saved on Dental bills as well! I took my older dog for her annual exam and the vet quoted me the cost for her dental cleaning because he thought she was going to need a couple teeth pulled and a lot of work to get the tartar off. After it was done, my bill was half of the estimate he gave me. He said he was just shocked how easily the tartar came right off. That never happened before I used the tropiclean. I should also say that my older dog is very picky about food and flavors but she drinks this in the water with no problem at all. Highly recommend.
It helps to keep their breath fresh and helps to keep the teeth Clean without brushing. They love the water so it must not have any taste.
It really does freshen my dogs’ breath but the cap doesn’t have any way to measure the liquid to the amounts as directed so I would just pour some into their water without measuring. This made it to where I never seemed to get the right amount and caused it to run out faster. It also sometimes foams which is off putting to dogs but they disregarded the taste after trying it. With three dogs I don’t think it would be affordable for me to keep buying this and use it as directed twice daily. I would be buying it like twice a month.
i have used this with all my animals, especially the ones with very small mouths.
My Vet asked me did I have my dog’s teeth cleaned? Not since he was younger and now he’s 13 1/2 yrs old. I said he’s used this and Minties all his life! She was very impressed!
My dog will not drink water with this added. I’ve tried diluting it more than recommended, and my dog will sniff the water suspiciously, take a tiny drink testing it, and then walk away.
Works well - does the trick.
My snaggletooth dog had really stinky breath, which was a sign that he had some infected teeth. While we waited for our dental appointment to have his teeth taken care of, I used this and within a week, the smell was gone. Neither of my dogs had any aversion to drinking water with this in it. I'm really impressed!
I have just spent over $700 on my older boy because hald of his teeth needed to come out. I am really hoping this works like it is supposed to, but it is hard to review it because how would you know for years down the road?
