He loved it, but it did not last

I think he got a solid 20 minutes out of this toy before it was finally beyond recognition. No toy is truly indestructible, but I was hoping for at least more than

I think he got a solid 20 minutes out of this toy before it was finally beyond recognition. No toy is truly indestructible, but I was hoping for at least more than 20 minutes. Nonetheless, he had a great time and I think for non-power chewers it would probably hold up a lot better.

Durability

Our pup loves this toy more than any of the other stuffed critters, chews & balls. She frequently carries, tosses & slides on it, all the while crunching on each of the tentacles until she flops down all played out. I used a stick lighter to secure any stitching before it could unravel and am very pleased with how well this toy is holding up.

Get the large one for durability

I wish Chewy had these 2 toys listed separately as the Jersey Shore Pete is rated a 10 in durability compared to the smaller one named Oscar. The Tuffy toys tend

I wish Chewy had these 2 toys listed separately as the Jersey Shore Pete is rated a 10 in durability compared to the smaller one named Oscar. The Tuffy toys tend to come apart at the stitches on the black seams before anything else so require daily 'surgery' but also make it harder to get the squeakers to make noise which I am very grateful for. It is a bit heavy for my 6 month old pup at present but he loves tugging with it and as it doesn't look like any animal he might see outside I feel confident he can thrash this and not worry about him going after a rabbit or smaller dog or anything.

While our Great Dane loved this toy, it was destroyed (ripped through the middle, stuffing everywhere) within one week. We have another Tuffy's toy that our dog

While our Great Dane loved this toy, it was destroyed (ripped through the middle, stuffing everywhere) within one week. We have another Tuffy's toy that our dog loves, hence why I bought this one, but the other toy is rated less strong and it's still in great shape.

Time for a new one

I gave ours to a friend whose dog had destroyed his first one I gave her, so we needed a new one . My Lan loves it. It isn’t easy to destroy for a normal dog.

Oscar is a great toy for playing tug of war with one or more dogs. He is durable, has relatively minimal stuffing and even when eventually unstuffed, provides continued fun for your furry friend. He has sqeakers in each leg for added excitement. I have bought these for my dogs twice now and will probably purchase them again. They are best sized for large and extra large dogs.
