Gone too soon
I truly don't like giving negative reviews, but my hope for my 9 month old Portie was that I found my indestructible toy! He shreds everything, but upon reading the excellent reviews on the Tuffy products, I knew I found the toys for him! Unfortunately, he was able to shred the first toy within a matter of minutes. He has now shredded all 3 toys before we could even find out if they really float! The products do seem very well made and would be perfect for the less aggressive chewer, but as for Enzo, we are still on the hunt.
My dog chewed the points
This is the cutest starfish, but, my dog chewed a hole in 2 of the points. These are almost destructible. I am so disappointed.
not so tuff
I got this because I have purchased other Tuffy products for my dog who goes through toys within minutes. While this one lasted a little longer than your run-of-the-mill dog toy, it was not nearly as durable as other Tuffy toys I have purchased in the past. He chewed through one of the arms of the starfish within the first day, and completely on stuffed it within 48 hours. Somewhat disappointed in this Christmas present for my pup.
My heavy chewer had it destroyed in a day. Other Tuffy toys held up much better.
ranked 7/10 toughness...closer to 2/10
We have had tuffy toys that last and ones that don't last. This didn't last. Once a small string was made on one of the arms it was downhill from there. Yes, no toy is indestructible, but this one didn't live up to the normal Tuffy toys.
I was hoping this would be a good investment for my dog...she is a tough chewer. Nope...not worth the money!
My pibble loves this toy. She throws it around and then chases it. She does chew on it a little but she enjoys throwing it more. I'm glad that its soft so no damage to my things but also is durable because she is a pibble and does love to chew. We have purchased several tuffy toys for this reason.
Lasted a record 8 weeks before a point was chewed off
My dog is a real chewer. She loves this toy and I'm going to buy another and try to repair this one. I think I really need a round one with no appendages. I don't think anything for this dog would be worth 5 stars. If it survives, it means she doesn't really play with it.
lasted 2 months
As one of the toys for a husky/German Shepard the fabric at the seams tore and filling started coming out only 2 months after purchase. Disappointed with the longevity of it, if only due to the wastefulness of frequent purchasing. Would gladly pay triple for something that truly lasts with tough chewers.
Lasted Less Than 60 Minutes
I took in a foster dog, Daisy, on Friday. She is a scrawny 37 pounder, having lived on her own as a puppy in southern Colorado. She is a tough chewer. She was very attracted to this toy, but knew immediately how to rip into it. She is just a scrawny but determined mutt, so I don't know if the problem is that she has a super-powerful jaw, or that she is so darned smart she already knew how to repeatedly hit fabric until it breaks. Having watched her in action, I believe it was the latter. So this is a great toy if your dog is much dumber than my foster puppy. Daisy is an accomplished toy tester.
