How long does it take to see a change in skin conditions like mange?
Answer by ChewyOct 06, 2018
This depends on the severity of the condition. This product is meant to deal with affected areas for 5-7 days at a time before needing reapplication.

Can I fill the bathtub with the proper dilution and put my whole dog in it? Or do I need to rub it on her like a shampoo?
Answer by ChewyAug 19, 2018
It is recommended to pour the dip solution (dilute 4 oounces of Lime Sulfur Dip in one gallon of water) over animal making sure it gets all the affected areas. Use a sponge on the animal's face to keep it out of their eyes, nose and mouth. Do not rinse or towel dry; let the animal air dry.

Can I use hairdryer to dry him? I have a 3 months kitten and he's been sneezing all the time, I'm afraid he will get sick if I just leave him there wet. Also, should I apply on his whole body or just ringworm spots?
Answer by ChewyAug 06, 2019
Apply the diluted lime sulfur dip solution liberally as a rinse or dip at 5-7 day intervals directly over the affected areas on the pet and massage into their skin. Allow the product to air dry and do not rinse.

What are the directions on the product for cats?
Answer by ChewyOct 17, 2017
The directions are the same for dogs and cats. Dilute 4 oz. of Lime Sulfur Dip in one gallon of water. Mix the solution well and use gloves when applying to the animal’s skin. Bathe the animal with a shampoo and rinse well prior to application. Apply the diluted Lime Sulfur Dip solution liberally as a rinse or dip at 5-7 day intervals directly over the affected areas on the pet and massage into the skin. Allow the product to air dry and don not rinse.

Mange Treatment

This product has worked miracles after just two treatments on a homeless cat in our neighborhood who was so stiff from being afflictrd with mange that he could barely walk and open one eye. one more treatment and he should be good as new. Your service was outstanding. I ordered this product on a Sunday afternoon and received it on Monday morning. Thank you and our little buddy cat thanks you.

Used On Myself & New Rescues

Every winter I get patches on my skin that are difficult to get rid of per an autoimmune issue. I also just adopted 2 cats. Not knowing who would give what to who, I decided we would all get a stinky bath session. To my surprise, my patches were gone the next morning. The cats look and smell better. My home was a rotten egg for 24 hours but worth it. The concentration of Sulphur in this product is extremely high in contrast to any soap I could have purchased for myself, so again, killed many birds with this one purchase.

helping so far

This is a SULPHUR dip, it is going to smell like sulphur. It is not as bad as many of the reviews make it out to be. My home is small, and I bathed my dog in the bathroom with the door closed and fan on. Afterwards I kept the door closed and opened the window, the smell went away rather quickly. The smell did not travel into the rest of my house. It did not dye my white shower, I also immediately rinsed any that was sitting on the bottom. I did wear gloves while using, and i dipped a washcloth in the solution and stamped it on the effected areas. I’ve used it twice and so far the redness of my dogs skin infection has started to get better. He is on antibiotics and a medicated shampoo from the vet which seemed to be minimally helping so I decided to give this old school remedy a chance. TBD if it completely clears up his skin.

ringworm is the worst- this helped

My 7 year old FIV positive, indoor only, cat showed signs of ringworm shortly after I did (where did it come from!?) by the time we found out it was ringworm, he had been around the other 2 cats for probably 6 weeks, so of course they also started to show lesions. We got them on itraconazole oral, and miconahex mousse to start. The mousse seemed to irritate their spots and then I heard about this dip. I decided to give it a shot on all 3 cats. They were not amused, but total troopers. Yes- it is at first jarring how potent the smell is. But for the reviews that say they threw it away and all they care about is getting the smell out of the house.. I can’t relate to that. All I care about is my babies being cured of ringworm and getting this disease out of the house, and I’ll do anything to make that happen! So the oral medicine on pulse therapy for 5 weeks, weekly lime sulphur baths, topical ointment between baths, and an insane amount of vacuuming, dusting, mopping, scrubbing, washing, drying, rinse and repeat to eradicate this from the house and 6 weeks of treatment later we have negative fungal cultures. After 3 weeks of treatment my FIV+ developed a new lesion so at that point we decided to quarantine the cats to make sure we were able to clean everywhere easily. I am so grateful to have found this stuff, I think it made the difference to kill the spores that I didn’t feel the miconahex mousse was doing- or at least not as fast. I did add monistat to the mix recently just on the bald spots to really make sure between baths those spores are dead. Chewy got the product here fast, and in good condition. Grateful for chewy carrying this! The bottle says 4 oz to 1 gallon water or 8 oz if necessary. We mostly used 4 oz, 1 bath with 8, and a couple with 6. We put cones on to make sure they wouldn’t lick til dry- about 5-6 hours. The first 2 baths I was nervous about it so I towel dried even though it said to let air dry- when we started allowing to air dry the smell dried off a little better surprisingly. And towel drying may be why he developed another lesion after the first couple baths. Yes, even the day after when I walk in from work I can smell the sulfur a bit but seriously who cares if this is effective. We have a new construction house and this did not stain the white tub at all, just rinsed out with water when finished. Some also splashed on the walls and also wiped off easily without staining. I wore gloves the first few times, but it just gets inside them anyways so I stopped wearing gloves and it did not stain my skin but did smell for a bit even after scrubbing. I wash and dry the towels they were blotted dry with by themselves and they still have sulfur smell after drying so they will not be kept. Ringworm is THE WORST and I hate not knowing how we got it but I hope it never comes back. Clean clean clean the house while treating pets and self.

Worked for our two cats

We didnt know what type of mite they had so we looked them up. There are two kinds cats can get and this sulfer kills both. So we used it twice and the fur loss stopped.

Broken cap and dented bottle

I'm afraid to use as I received item with broken cap and someone had "fixed" it with tape! Can't be too careful with your pets life at stake. Also bottle was dented but their was no damage to packing box it came in.

Medication

Used this on our cat. She had a crusty hairless spot on her neck. Either flea related or ringworm. Immeasurably better after one application. Saved me a vet bill!

Very effective

You will notice the difference even on the first time of use. My kitten had ringworms above his left eye and he lost hair in that section. The hair started to grow back right away. We just had to be careful not to get it in his eye.

Excelent treatment for ringworm and fungal issues

Just be really careful with this product it has a really strong smell. Mix 4oz w a gallon of water and bathe your dog allowing it to air dry after use. It is important to know that you have to bathe your dog with a medicated shampoo before using this product. It really works. I’m really grateful that I’ve found this product online !!
