MiconaHex+Triz

MiconaHex+Triz is for use on dogs, cats, and horses.  Available as shampoo, spray conditioner, wipes, and mousse, it’s antimicrobial, antifungal, antibiofilm, and moisturizing. Indicated for conditions responsive to miconazole and/or chlorhexidine.

Relief for itchy and irritated skin

My dog, Jasper, suffers from itchy and irritated skin periodically. I experimented with MiconaHex+Triz to try and relieve his symptoms. The bottle states to shake

My dog, Jasper, suffers from itchy and irritated skin periodically. I experimented with MiconaHex+Triz to try and relieve his symptoms. The bottle states to shake well before using, when I dispensed the product into my hand it was an airy foam with a pleasant, not medicinal, scent. Jasper was initially suspicious of the foam but once I began to massage it into his fur he seemed to enjoy the treatment. The foam dried quickly, less than 10 minutes and once it was fully dry I brushed Jasper's coat. His fur was shiny and he smelled great and most importantly it seems to have done the trick with his irritated skin.

This product arrived with no packaging inside the box, so it bounced around in transit and leaked all over. I had to discard the box immediately - it was soaked,

This product arrived with no packaging inside the box, so it bounced around in transit and leaked all over. I had to discard the box immediately - it was soaked, even though the items itself is wrapped in plastic. Even when I opened the plastic, there was product droplets all over the bottle. I wish it would have been packaged better for transit. I also wish there was a brush or applicator of some sort so I don't have to get it all over my hands when applying to my pet.

This was recommended to me to have on hand for when those situations arise where it would be needed…dogs get a cut while running in the woods, etc. I’ve also been told this works like magic for horses that rub their tails. While I haven’t yet used it for that purpose, I did use it on myself on a cut incurred while doing yard work, which healed in a day. Def a great multipurpose item to keep in your kit! The foaming action makes it super easy to apply and avoid spilling.

Having a Golden Retriever with hot spot issues and allergies has been an expensive struggle. I’ve had such a difficult time finding an ointment or spray that soothes his skin. They always seem to initially burn him after the application. Upon receiving this product and applying to his skin it appeared he had immediate relief from the ongoing itch and discomfort. After just a few days his hot spots have improved a great deal! I look forward to him getting 100% relief as we continue with applications.

Excellent compound for sensitive skin

Our French bulldog can be convinced to take a bath but is reluctant to take a shower. After his baths we dry him off with a couple of towels but he dislikes anything

Our French bulldog can be convinced to take a bath but is reluctant to take a shower. After his baths we dry him off with a couple of towels but he dislikes anything but some Miconahex. Once he is dry we put a couple of pumps on his coat and he hasn’t show any scaling or red dermis even around his back. We’ve tried other treatments but the Miconahex has performed very well and is easily applied. Just shake well and lightly rub it on down to the hair roots for best results and a thorough skin treatment.

In fairness, I’ve only used this once as I just got it two weeks ago. Dolce is itchy and gets red under her legs without treatment but she’s not a fan of frequent

In fairness, I’ve only used this once as I just got it two weeks ago. Dolce is itchy and gets red under her legs without treatment but she’s not a fan of frequent baths. I keep those to the minimum necessary but I like having something like this that is easy to apply, she doesn’t mind it and it helps with the redness and irritation. However, I do feel like I need to use it several more times to provide the best review. I will update this in a month or so when I’ve used it at least 3-4 times.

While I would like to say, I enjoyed using this product, it was not all that I had expected. Once I got it massaged into my dogs fur, his fur became very sticky, brushing it out and creased tangles which pulled on his hair. Making for an uncomfortable situation. While it did help with a lot of the stench from my dogs every day activities I don’t feel that I would use this product again.
