Questions & Answers

3 Customer Questions

can you use it on blankets and will it smell

Answer by ChewyFeb 11, 2021
VetClassics YUCK! has a water-based formula. This product is designed to be non-staining on a variety of washable surfaces, however, before using this product, test on a small inconspicuous area of the surface.

How long does it last? How should often should I put it on?

Answer by ChewyJun 07, 2022
You can spray it as often as necessary, and it does not have to be wet to be effective. The time it lasts is dependent on the surface being sprayed and whether it is in or outdoors.

Can this be used on plants and small trees?

Answer by ChewyApr 14, 2021
As some plants can be delicate, we suggest spraying it on one leaf first for testing before applying it to the entire plant.

Effective but inconvenient

It works but only if you spray it every single time they go near it. It’s not a “one and done” solution, it takes consistency and repetition over multiple days

It works but only if you spray it every single time they go near it. It’s not a “one and done” solution, it takes consistency and repetition over multiple days. That’s fine with me but the part I hated was it got in my mouth and clothes every time. Even if I covered my face, I could taste it in my mouth and it doesn’t go away for hours. It is unpleasant to use. Additionally, I traveled with the spray in my bag and the lid had come off on its own so my whole bag smelled like the spray and majority of the product was wasted. Overall I would not recommend and it was not worth the purchase

It didn't work for my cat.

My cat had hot spots. I sprayed this on and she immediately licked it off.

Great concept but didn’t phase my curious kitty

I used it daily. It marginally helped with my female kitten but my male kitten seemed to think it tasted just fine somehow

We were very discouraged because our kitten chews on everything, especially wires, cords (electrical and drapery). We worry that she'll hurt herself and selfishly, we just can't have nice stuff anymore. When she chewed through the internet cable it was the last straw. I bought Yuck and applied it to all cords, drapes, wires. Sprayed it on a rag and them wiped the rag on the cords. I seem to be sensitive to it, tasting it in my mouth, but that's where a mask came in handy. I wore rubber gloves as well but that could be overkill. I only had to reapply the Yuck on a couple places that she really liked to chew on and a few other places that I had missed. It's a really good behavior-changer.
