if used inside the ear; does it dry ? Does it numb the area so it doesn't itch ?
Answer by ChewyJan 24, 2021
Please click on the attached photo to reference the full directions on use. This solution does not numb anything but may be used to flush irritants from the ears and eyes.

Is this good to use on my cats eye ??
Answer by ChewyMay 20, 2020
For the use with cat's eyes: flush eyes gently with product. Repeat 3-4 times daily until condition is no longer visible. For daily maintenance, flush eyes once per day or as needed. Use with a damaged cornea should be under veterinarian supervision.

How would I use this for mouth/tongue ulcers as result of advanced kidney disease? How would I get the liquid directly on his tongue, or do I just syringe or dropper this into his mouth and hope it gets on the affected area?
Answer by ChewyApr 05, 2021
It is recommended to saturate affected area or saturate a cotton pad with product and gently wipe affected area. It is completely safe if licked or ingested and is antibiotic and steroid-free. Due to your pet's condition, we recommend consulting with your Veterinarian to ensure this would be a good fit for your pet's current treatment plan.

Can this be used on feline chin acne that has been scratched open?
Answer by ChewyMay 31, 2021
This antimicrobial solution is suitable to use for cat acne. It can be used around a cat’s face, eyes, nose, mouth, ears and chin. It is non-toxic and safe if licked or ingested.

Works magically on cat acne

After trying four other products (a spray, an ointment, a pad, a mask) that all failed, I decided to give this one a try on my kitten’s acne. OMG I’m so impressed! It improved my 6 month old baby cat’s acne the next day and the black acne covering her chin cleared up within 3-4 days. I am so impressed I ordered an extra bottle just in case if she gets acne again. I highly recommend this product. It’s also scentless unlike many other similar products with perfume. I’d think perfume irritates broken skin or wounds.

Good so far

I have only used it once, but it helped. My FIV+ kitty had a watery eye for days and I applied it around his eye and it cleared up quickly. I will try it on the little soars they get and hopefully it will work. I was told it is pretty much like saline. I don't know if it costs more or less but it did the job.

It worked!

My 1 year old female Siamese had a couple black scabs on her chin so I googled it. I knew she didn’t have fleas so I knew it was acne. She was up for a check up anyways so I took her to the vet and the vet asked if I use plastic bowls. I do not. She said to keep it clean and to use neutropenia acne treatment. It didn’t seem to be working and she had scratched her chin raw ion one side do I started using pro sense itch solutions on her chin and that fixed her sore spots but still a little acne. Then I came across this product. Her chin was clear in 3 days. Recommend.

It worked for me!

I have an outside cat who I can't get to the vet. No vet visit, no medication. I tried this for her badly infected mouth as a last resort, not really expecting it to work but thinking I could say at least I tried. She has improved greatly in one week, from an oozy mess to almost clear. We're not there yet, but she is much improved. All I do is wet a gauze pad with this liquid and swipe her mouth with it once a day. If I could get better or more frequent coverage, it would probably work even better. But once a day is about all I can manage -- she's formerly feral. Even so, the Vetericyn has made a big difference.

Works amazing!

I bought this for my cats chin acne which was becoming very uncomfortable for her. After a week of using this item her acne is almost non existent. Worked wonders for her and I am so happy I was able to find a quick and cheap remedy! 10/10 would recommend!

Great product to keep on hand

So I have 11 (yes, I'm a crazy cat lady) former semi feral house kitties. They are all close in age 3 are siblings, another 2 are siblings, and the rest are siblings by choice. We tend to be a little rough playing and one got her eye poked. I came home and found her little eye all swelled shut. Had gotten this stuff just in case of issues like this. 3 doses later good as new. AMAZING product. I did have to wash out an old eye drop bottle to use. The bottle it comes in is a bit large and too hard for my arthritic hands to squeeze when dropping in an eye of a cat who wants nothing to do with this process. Glad I had it will definitely be adding more products from this company to my first aid kit.

A Real Solution to a Real Problem

I read how effective Vetericyn Plus was for improving eye/eye skin health for cat’s on Chewy.com. Now I get why folks rave about it. I used it to treat the severe eye crustiness and dryness my 10 week old kittens struggled with after a course of antibiotics. Worked like a charm! Within two weeks, their eyes/faces were good as new. Thanks, Vetericyn!!!

Works great!

I bought this for my 2 cats who developed pretty bad chin acne. This stuff worked great to clear it up and keep it from coming back. I keep extra on hand just in case either cat has another flare up.

Cat acne be gone!

Our tabby was struggling with a bad case of chin acne, and per our vet's recommendation, we tried OTC pads/wipes but nothing seemed to make a difference. Before taking him in to get prescribed for potentially-overkill antibiotics, we decided to try out this antimicrobial wash. Within a week, the acne was almost completely gone! Thank you Chewy/Vetericyn! Tip: Use cotton round pads instead of cotton balls to apply the wash - the round pads allow a lot more product to be applied and help flush the fur much more evenly.
