Vetnique Labs does not recommend using the Anti-Itch & Allergy Relief Hydrocortisone Fragrance-Free Dog & Cat Skin Spray for animals other than dogs and cats, unless otherwise directed by the pet's veterinarian.

Is this toxic if licked by a cat?

It is recommended that you do not allow your pets to groom themselves after this is sprayed. Allow the spray to completely dry before allowing them to groom themselves.

This didn't meet my needs. I thought I had read the details before purchasing but when I got it, I discovered it reads "don't allow the pet to lick..." Putting

This didn't meet my needs. I thought I had read the details before purchasing but when I got it, I discovered it reads "don't allow the pet to lick..." Putting this on a cat, means it WILL be licked. Disappointed at the wasted money here.

Be very careful

My pup has many sensitivities to both environmental & dietary factors. When he’s affected, his itching is relentless. I bought this hoping it would help alleviate

My pup has many sensitivities to both environmental & dietary factors. When he’s affected, his itching is relentless. I bought this hoping it would help alleviate the itching & from scratching himself raw. I read to not let your pet lick or ingest it so I tried to keep him from doing that but unfortunately it wasn’t enough to think I could handle it. We went through two days of him experiencing lethargy & vomiting as well as 3am calls to poison control & emergency vet hospitals trying to find one to take him to (Veterinarian doctor shortage). The closest one was 2hrs away & I’m disabled so it was extremely frightening for me. He seems to be doing better now but the guilt I’m feeling is not going away anytime soon. I feel obligated to share our experience. There is a small warning on the container but I would recommend not using it unless your pet is wearing a cone preventing any chance of ingesting it. I certainly learned some lessons from this experience & I hope this can prevent it from happening to others.

helps my cat with skin itching/overgrooming

My cat has psychogenic alopecia (he overgrooms for unknown reasons). We treated with prozac for 7 years, with minimal improvement, and it changed his personality

My cat has psychogenic alopecia (he overgrooms for unknown reasons). We treated with prozac for 7 years, with minimal improvement, and it changed his personality so i finally took him off. I believe he is itchy so I tried Dermabliss. I apply it to a rag and rub it on his skin daily (he doesn't love this). In a month of using it, his grooming has dramatically decreased and his fur is regrowing!

This Stuff Actually Works!

My dog suffers from really bad seasonal allergies. She gets recurrent bacterial skin infections/rashes from all of her itching. We tend to always end up at the vet

My dog suffers from really bad seasonal allergies. She gets recurrent bacterial skin infections/rashes from all of her itching. We tend to always end up at the vet getting her antibiotics. I wanted to get something that would make the vet visits not as frequent help with the itching. I tried all sorts of stuff but this is the only thing I’ve found that actually works! Like other reviews have stated it is a little oily but if you rub it in pretty good it’s actually not too bad. If you have similar issues with your dog I would HIGHLY recommend!
