VetOne Insulin Syringes/Needles U-40 29 Gauge x 0.5-in are prescribed by your vet for the injection of U-40 (40 units per ml) insulin in your diabetic pet. U-40 syringes are the syringe size that is recommended to use with ProZinc insulin. However, it’s important to note that more than one concentration of insulin exists, so be sure that the syringe used matches the type of insulin prescribed for your pet.

Syringes are primarily used to administer insulin to dogs and cats.
Used sharps should be immediately placed in a sharps disposal container. FDA-cleared sharps containers are generally available through pharmacies, medical supply companies, health care providers and online. These containers are made of puncture-resistant plastic with leak-resistant sides and bottom. They also have a tight fitting, puncture-resistant lid. If an FDA-cleared container is not available a heavy-duty plastic household container, such as a laundry detergent container can be used as an alternative.
Use according to your veterinarian's instructions.
Syringes should be kept out of the reach of children and pets.
These syringes are prescribed by your veterinarian in order to deliver insulin to your pet. Insulin syringes list volume as units. U-40 syringes are used to administer ProZinc insulin for cats. Make sure you are using the correct syringe for the insulin your pet needs. Incorrect syringe sizes will result in incorrect insulin dosing. Only your veterinarian can write a prescription for U-40 syringes.
The U-40 Syringe is a high quality, sterile, insulin syringe that is used to administer insulin to diabetic pets, primarily cats. It is primarily used to administer ProZinc insulin. Make sure your veterinarian teaches you how to give insulin injections properly prior to use. Different syringes are necessary for different types of insulin so make sure you are ordering the correct insulin syringe for your pet. U-40 syringes are available with a prescription from your veterinarian. Make sure you dispose of insulin syringes properly in a sharps container. Do not throw away in the regular trash.
These were to replace the syringes that I normally use that have been out of stock. Not to my satisfaction.
The 40 size leaves the graduation lines too close together making it harder to judge the 1.5 dose. You used to sell 30 size which was better and 20 size would be better still.
Great quality. Easy to read. Convenient smaller packages.
Good Product Quantity allows for better budgeting.
I don’t usually write reviews on pet items but we got these syringes and they seem to be dosed and accurately. We compare the dosing with similar syringes that we’ve been getting at Walgreens for a couple years and found that the quantity when compared did not match up. Five units on a regular 0.5 mL 50 unit 31 gauge syringe from CVS was much less when compared to “five units“ on these syringes. I would advise anyone buying the syringes to medicate their animals to verify the accuracy of the dosing with the specifics syringe through their veterinarian. Like I said, comparing five units from each of the above syringes was grossly abnormal. Just use caution. No one wants Fluffy to die from an insulin overdose
Good product Easy use good pricing always with chewy!
These ARE the best and what Vets use in their practice. The plunger slides smoothly and tight so you can get the right cc without reloading, with very, very little air bubbles to deal with. I bought a cheaper one here and they were horrible! I returned them and got these. I can use one of these for several applications.
Not even close to being the right ones. They sent ones that aren't right for my little Lucky
Syringes are same as I purchase at my vet. The price is the same. I would suggest Chewy offer a box of 100 at a lesser price than the 10 unit price.
These syringes are so poorly made that they usually bend and break just trying to insert into the vial. Do not order these.
