With the small bag of glycobance dry food, can I add water to it and make it soft and smash it?
Answer by ChewyJun 09, 2021
You may add a couple of tablespoons of warm (not hot) water to one serving of your pet's dry food. Let the mixture sit for a few minutes to soften the kibbles, then serve. Moisten enough food for one meal feeding at a time so the food doesn't spoil. Do not leave moistened food out more than four hours.

Diabetic pup

Moose was recently diagnosed with diabetes. It's been a challenge, to say the least, trying to figure out he can and can't eat, trying to get him to gain weight back, making sure what he is eating doesn't negatively affect his condition. The vet recommended this for him and he loves it. And the process to get it approved from my vet through Chewy was incredibly easy.

Royal Canin

My Shitzu wouldn’t eat this when we first purchased. The vet recommended to mix a tablespoon of wet food with it. It definitely worked he eats well now.

finicky dog eats this.

My pup was recently diagnosed with diabetes and my vet recommended this food. He is a very picky eater and I have thrown out a lot of different dog foods. He is eating this well for me most of the time although not quite as much as the recommended serving size. He never was a morning eater and I have to get food in him for his insulin shot. I am happy he is eating this for me.

Won't switch again

My vet put Fargo on this and then I switched to another brand that was SUPPOSED to be low glycemic. His sugar readings DOUBLED to almost 500. Went back to this and he's back to normal. He was diagnosed 5 1/2 years ago when he was 8. We are fortunate that he's retained his eyesight since 85% of dogs diagnosed with diabetes go blind within 6-18 months of diagnosis.

Great Option

My older diabetic Min Pin is a picky eater and likes variety. Its great to have options with Diabetic friendly foods that he actually likes. It keeps it healthy and I don't have to spend as much time chasing him around or waiting for him to eat so I can give him his insulin in the morning.
