How durable is this toothbrush? My kitten tends to bite at the toothbrushes i give her and destroy them.
Answer by ChewyMar 06, 2018
This toothbrush can withstand some biting, but isn't intended to be chewed. Excessive biting and chewing can lead to damage.

Is the small end soft? I have a 9 yr old Yorkie who has lost teeth & must have a soft brush. She isn't a fan of brushing her teeth.
Answer by ChewyDec 21, 2017
This item has soft bristles to aid in gentle application.

Should I replace it every 3 months like we do our own toothbrushes?
Answer by ChewyApr 12, 2018
You should replace your pet's toothbrush as often as your own, every 3-4 months.

Is this just the brush or does it come with the paste?
Answer by ChewyJun 27, 2019
This toothbrush does not include toothpaste.

Bristle fell out immediately

Bought to replace an older arm & hammer dog toothbrush. This brush has a larger head than the arm & hammer, so in order to get my dog used to it, I gently brushed her front teeth back and forth for a total of 3 passes & then removed it, only to see 2 large bristles had come out of the brush head. I can see bristles wearing over time but for 3 passes over a tooth, this item should be pulled off the market immediately. Obviously do not recommend -in fact, I wish I had sorted the reviews from worst to best because there are similar reviews stating the bristles fall out quickly.

Best toothbrush I have used

We have tried a number of toothbrushes for our small/med dogs- most didn't do a great job or the dogs didn't like. This one is exactly the right size and the 2 diff brushes give the flexibility to get way back in their mouths. The bristles are not too soft and not to stiff- the dogs actually don't fight me when I use this brush.

Bristles come loose

I've used these brushes for several years with good results, but lately the bristles come loose after just a few brushes. Need to try a new brand.

yes, well made.

Just tried the brush on my shepherd chi mix and it is small enough to get to her back teeth. Sturdy construction yet soft enough for the dog's comfort. Should last through 2x per week cleaning for 10 to 12 months.

Too Big for my dog's mouth!

This toothbrush looks as if the smaller end would work for a small dog's mouth. BUT, it's still too big. The green handle is also thick, so the brush just about gets to the teeth.

Love this toothbrush for my dog. She likes getting her teeth brushed and the small end of the head is perfect for her

Does the job

I started using this brush for my Dachshund daily teeth brushing. It does the job. I would have given it 5 stars but as he tries chewing the brush it does deteriorate quickly, necessitating replacing it every 2 months of so.

Good bristles

Excellent fur babies toothbrush. The small end is just small enough for the small kid(yorkie) and the large end works for the big kid (husky). The bristles are not wimpy.

Best Toothbrush

This toothbrush is the best I’ve found. My boy is very special as he was born with only the lower fangs and very few adult teeth. He had to have extensive surgery at 7 months old to remove 7 impacted teeth, one of which was a fang. The Doc fractured his jaw and was discovered he didn’t have the tendon on the bottom of the jaw and his jaw is very thin. He sees a dentist once a year for cleaning but this toothbrush keeps his teeth beautifully! He has no gum disease and no plaque build up! He loves to brush his teeth so I’m very blessed with that! Dental hygiene is so important to a person life!

Best toothbrush I've found

The bristles are soft. Good for the dogs and they last me 6 months of use on a German Shepherd. I gave the brush a 4 because I think the handle could be a little bigger/stiffer, which would help me with the brushing.
