Help keep your furry friend calm during stressful times with the Vetoquinol Zylkene Behavior Support Capsules Medium Dog Supplement 450 mg. The non-drowsy formula uses alpha-casozepine, a natural ingredient found in cow’s milk, to help balance the stress reactions of dogs safely and with no tranquilizing or sedating effects. Milk-sourced alpha-casozepine is known to promote relaxation in babies, and it works in a similar way for your pal, giving him a sense of comfort and contentment to help him cope with stress or adapt to new situations. It’s perfect for most doggie stressors like loud noises, visits to the vet or groomer, as well as unfamiliar people and places. Plus, it’s free of lactose and preservatives, making it ideal for sensitive doggies’ tummies.

we are currently using this for a new dog who has fear aggression in order to be able to train her. but some people use it for fear of fireworks etc, it takes a few weeks to kick in, so start ahead of time.
My Standard Poodle has struggled with anxiety. His veterinarian recommended that we try Zylkene before a prescription, but it didn’t help him at all. I didn’t see any differences in behavior or anxiety.
My dog has a whole host of food sensitivities after surviving parvovirus. Since beginning this supplement, his itching has dramatically increased and as a result he seems more anxious and uncomfortable. I wish this caution had been provided in the product information before spending $75. An expensive experiment!
Unfortunately I have a year old puppy lab/boxer mix and it does not work on him. I got it for him so that someone would be able to cut his nails and it has no effect on him :( but again it works on some and doesn’t on others!
Best stuff the vet ever recommended to our family. Make sure you give the right dose, but product works great especially for traveling.
As my pet became older she became more anxious when we left her at home alone. This supplement is amazing and calms her down within 15 minutes after injection.
We have been using this pills for almost a month, I am not able yet to see changes but my vet told me that it takes at least a month to see results. However, this product arrived so fast, I was looking into other websites and most had a delivered time of almost 15 days. With Chewy we received the pills in two business days!!
We have a rescue dog that's about 13, we had him for almost 12 years. No one at the shelter told us we were his 5th family! He was borderline vicious... After a LOT of work and age, he's great. All said, we moved once after we got him, he freaked... We moved 6 weeks ago, across country. Vet gave us anxiety meds, helped some, he hated them, and he was a vegetable. I tried these, and within an hour he was very calm. I only give at night now. We did have an issue two nights ago, but he just went into another room to freak out and fell asleep. If he stays in our room, he gets a pill. Not his favorite. I will buy again, if he hasn't adjusted by then. It's a good product.
This did not affect my hyper German Shepherd at all.
Zylkene has helped my 2 year old dog adapt to a move to a new apartment/neighborhood great. Our vet had recommended it in the past but we never tried it, but after moving our dog was almost refusing to go outside (he's generally afraid of busy city traffic, and the new environment didn't help). I got him Zylkene (which arrived next day-thanks Chewy!), we used it for about a week, and it worked miracles. He would walk alongside busy roads just fine without being afraid like in the past, and now he feels confident and excited when exploring his new neighborhood. The best part is that when he takes it he is still his same playful, energetic self and it doesn't seem to have any adverse side effects. Highly recommend trying this for anyone dealing with an anxious pup and/or stressful situations. It may not work for all dogs but I'm glad we tried it and it helped ours.
