See Details for instructions to redeem.VetriScience Laboratories’ Cardio-Strength For Cats and Dogs is a capsule formula designed to support cardiovascular health and function in dogs and cats. Cardio-Strength features 11 synergistic ingredients that are vital for elderly animals, and is recommended to support animals with pre-existing sub-optimal cardiovascular functions, breeds that are disposed to cardiovascular stress, or geriatric dogs. It is designed to support heart muscles and cardiovascular functions, as well as reduce oxidative stress and support circulation and better oxygen utilization. Ingredients like L-taurine support regular heartbeat while minimizing the loss of potassium and supporting proper electrolyte utilization.
The inclusion of potassium is necessary for maintaining electrolyte balance. DMG acts as an antioxidant and supports circulation and immune system health, while CoQ10 supports heart tissue oxygenation and heart muscle strength. L-carnitine supports the use of fat for energy and oxygen utilization while also supporting fat metabolism and helping the body balance triglyceride and cholesterol levels. EPA and GLA (fatty acids) support circulation and blood flow, and ingredients like vitamin E support normal clotting and healthy capillary strength, making Cardio-Strength an incredibly comprehensive formula for cardiovascular health.

My vet noticed a year ago that my senior cat (13 yrs) had developed a slight heart murmur. I had an echo done by a heart specialist who determined it was not significant enough to require medication but to recheck in a year. I started this supplement last year during all of this. Fast forward to NOW...a year later.. we went back in to the same vet for a checkup and they couldnt hear the murmur. Nothing changed in our lives except me giving him one capsule daily sprinkled in his wet food. Did this help? Well..... something did!
Very good ingredients. My Gunner is doing well. The problem is the delivery system. Very hard to get a Chihuahua to take a large capsule, so I open the capsule and sprinkle it over a healthy treat. VERY hard to open this capsule! Would like this formula better if it was in a chew. Otherwise, a very good supplement.
The old formula was sort of a dark paste. My 4-year old cat took it several days a week without any issue. This year when I purchased a new bottle the formula changed to light colored powder. Same dose and frequency I’ve observed my cat having soft stool after taking this supplement.
Made my dog dizzy and stumble. I had never seen him do that before.
Any cat or small dog would have problems taking this supplement, it’s huge. The powder isn’t palatable so I can’t use it.
Unfortunately we couldn’t even give this to our dog to see if it would work because it’s too big to put down his throat. I tried opening it up and putting it in his food. But he didn’t like the smell and wouldn’t even taste it.
I think this is buffering my kid's heart issue. I add it with his raw food as supplement because I have always been impressed by their product. My dog hasn't had DCM yet. But his littermate has passed recently from it. I mean there's other factor I believe that can also get it like diet, weight, excercise, genetic, but I do think this is one of the keys that has helped.
I originally bought this for my one dog. I was not pleased with the dosing instructions because it was unclear rather a pill should be split for animals smaller than 30 pounds. These pills have a weird smell and are very inconsistent in consistency. Some have pale yellow powder inside, some have stuck together orange clumps. I don't think the taste is pleasant to them as the smell is not great. Will they eat their food, yes but not as well as when this supplement is not in it. My cats take a lysine supplement and they love that it has added flavor. I don't think this has any. There is no real noticable difference in any of my pets. Not enough of each vitamin to do any difference in my opinion after researching and learning more. Also the supplement powder gets all over my hands when I open the capsule which sucks.
my 2 dogs with heart failure keeps spitting it up. They both don't want it unfortunately.
This supplement saved my dog’s life from mitral valve cardio and possible DCM. She has so far lived nearly 5 years beyond what they said she would’ve lived. If you have goo inside it is because there is a chemical change (such as opening and closing the bottle) and it becomes gummy over time. Keep in a dry place and when this happens just use a toothpick to pick it out. The product is just as effective and it does not mean it has gone bad. I do wish this company would make this product in powder form. I agree it’s a pain when you get a gummy capsule.
