Important Information

Fleas rise to the top of your pet's coat as they die, so consider it a triumph if you start seeing more fleas at first, after treating your pet. If you’re still seeing fleas after application, it may be because your pet has picked up new fleas from the environment, which may include other pets, surfaces and outdoor areas. It may take up to 30 days to break the entire flea life cycle. Additionally, you should also treat sources of new fleas (i.e., carpet, yard, etc.) to ensure complete flea control.

How do you apply to cat.
Answer by ChewyAug 12, 2020
To use, remove one applicator from packaging. Hold applicator upright and remove cap. Invert cap and place other end back onto applicator tip. Push cap down to break seal. Remove cap prior to treatment application. Part cat's hair between shoulder blades until skin is visible. Place applicator tip directly against exposed skin. Deposit entire contents by squeezing the applicator at a single site on cat's skin. Ensure that EFFIPRO Topical Solution for Cats is not applied superficially on cat's hair.

Can I use this product on pregnant or nursing Queens??

Does this have a smell? I am very sensitive to strong odors, I don't know about the cat, but if it smells like most of them it will make me very sick.
Answer by ChewyAug 02, 2018
This solution does not contain any scents.

The Effipro I got from my vet last year was Effipro. Is the Effipro plus the same thing?
Answer by ChewyJul 21, 2018
The Effipro PLUS has the added ingredient pyriproxyfen that especially targets young young insects and eggs.

Didn't work at all

Based on the reviews I tried it based on value and efficacy. I looked and looked for how big a cat this was for as it only states greater than 1.5 lbs and my fatties are 14-16. I couldn't find it anywhere on the site and It doesn't say it on the box either so I bought some. The tube was really tiny so I figured it wouldn't be enough but it should do something. Maybe it was enough to just make the fleas go to another part of the body. Regardless, two days after application, I found a flea around the same spot as where I applied the stuff. I am asking for a refund and crossing this one off the list. I'm just going to bite the bullet and get the expensive prescription stuff. At this point I have flea bites all over myself from hugging my infested friends. :(

Better than topicals

Our cat had a skin reaction to the topical flea treatment, so we tried these. He ate the little tablet immediately, so they apparently taste good. Assuming they do the job, this is a great alternative to the topicals.

Fleas were like, “Aaaahhh!!”

This is the best flea medication I’ve ever tried. I use the Capstar pills at the same time, too. The only downside is if my cats have a whole lot of fleas on them, then they are kind of miserable for the first few hours while all the fleas are freaking out and biting and migrating towards the cats ears, face, and limbs. But then the fleas die and my cats are noticeably relieved.

Good as any, better than most

We have tried two prescription brands & pretty much most of the other brands. This doesn't last 30 days but none of the others have either. However it did last longer than I expected and what I liked best there was no noticeable scent to it and the cats tolerated it much better than the others and didn't have as much reaction to it as they did the others. I have ordered this twice now and if it continues to keep working like last month, then I will order again. Plus if they keep the price close to what it is now it is a better buy too. I am hoping I finally found a reliable product for my kitties.

Displeased

I medicated 5 cats at a great cost to me. All 5 appeared dazed within hours of dosing. A small number of fleas (seen) died. Within 3 days the remaining infestation grew. The mites, on 3, remain active.

Fleas-B-Gone

I have tried multiple different flea medications but none of them worked here in NC until now. I use Capaction first and then Effipro and the fleas stay gone for a whole month!

Amazing in every way

I had seresto collars on my cats and I somehow got my house infested with fleas, after an exterminator and this product I haven't had a problem since thank you so much effipro. This product works better than Frontline and seresto!

Effipro Flea & Tick for cats

My vet recommended this years ago. It works good for fleas and ticks and reasonably priced. No reaction from all four cats. I will buy this item again and recommend it.
