Dust and small pieces
By MultiPetMomma on Feb 20, 2021
Excitement turned to dissatisfaction and disappointment when I opened this bag of Timothy hay. Guineas eat what they can, but there is so much dust, it fills up their cage bottom. Worst part is that I bought 2 bags to pad the order for free shipping. Can't even use it in my chickens nest boxes because of all the dust and tiny pieces!

So dusty - what a mess!
By Vitakraft on Feb 11, 2021
This timothy hay is cut into tiny little pieces and makes a huge dusty mess everywhere. If your plan is to put it into any kind of hay rack, plan on half of it ending up as a pile of dust on the floor of your cage. The positives: it smells nice and sweet and my girls seem to like eating it well enough. But there is so much waste and cleanup! Don't bother.

Horrible Hay
By Boomchicaboomboom on Nov 17, 2020
I ordered 1 bag of this product for my rabbits to try out. Chewy accidentally sent 6 bags instead of 1 though. All 10 of my rabbits hate this hay!. My buns love, and have been used to, softer types of hay. Unfortunately, because of Covid, and the time of yr, I am having a harder time finding softer hay. This product definitely wasn't it though. The pieces of hay are hard, some bags looked to have a lot of brown dried pieces in them. The hay is also harder to get out of the bag and in blocks that are bent in shape to fit in the bag. I am now stuck with not just 1 bag, but 6 bags, of a product that I have no use for. I'm probably going to have to just use the hay as bedding for my outdoor rabbits I ordered 1 bag of this product for my rabbits to try out. Chewy accidentally sent 6 bags instead of 1 though. Not Usable
By Lacey on Nov 27, 2020
This is the second time I have ordered this product, the first time the hay was strapped together into two separate bundles within the bag and once the straps were cut the hay was in nice solid flakes. This time the hay was all crumbled within the bag, it was so crumbled the straps weren't even holding the bundles together. Due to the fact that the hay is crumbled the bunny will not eat the hay as it seems more like bedding than the large hay flakes she is fed, so the hay has been a waste of money.

Awful stuff
By PZF56 on Dec 24, 2020
This is very poor quality hay. It is mostly chaff and dust. I will ultimately be able to use about 1/3 of this bag after sifting through it. Very glad I only got a small bag to try. So much waste. And I hate wasting money. I certainly do not recommend. Wish I had gotten something else.

Guinea Pig
By Maisie on Feb 2, 2021
My daughter's guinea pig seem to be a little particular about what she eats, but she really likes the Vitakraft Timothy sweet grass hay for small animals

chinchillas love this!
By Lydia on Nov 18, 2020
Love that’s in comes in two little “bales” and pulls apart in flakes. Makes it less messy. Our chinchillas eat this well. It looks to be good quality and fresh. Great price too!
