Feeding Instructions

Birds need food year-round, so it is best to keep bird feeders full all year or else the birds will leave. Birds have a high metabolism and need to continually eat. Birds nest from late winter through late summer and during these months there is not an abundance of natural foods, so they need additional food for breeding and raising their young. From early fall through the winter, natural food sources become harder to find so it is important to keep feeders full with bird seed during this time. You can enjoy your birds 12 months of the year.

    Too much cracked corn

By birdgirl on Aug 11, 2020

This is your decent bird seed blend with the advantage of no messy seed coverings littering the ground. My birds will eat pretty much anything, but they don't seem to like all of the cracked corn that's in this mix. I've mixed it with a third of shelled sunflower meats and a third of Wagner's Supreme Premium wild bird food. I recommend this, but hesitantly, due to the cracked corn amount.

    Not so waste free

By Jenn on Jun 16, 2020

I normally buy this product for feeding our wild birds. I love the fact that it is normally waste free. However, the last two bags I received had sunflower seeds in the shell. I did not notice until after I had put the seed in the feeders. Hoping this was an anomaly and not normal going forward.

By Maxie on Dec 23, 2019

Not a favorite of the birds who visit my feeders. They prefer the sunflower kernels.

    The birds hated it.

By Jellies on Jun 25, 2019

I've never had a problem with waste free bird food. Usually I have birds visiting all day. With this food, the birds would come by and then leave without anything. I am going to give this away. Very disappointing
