Feeding Instructions

Birds need food year-round, so it is best to keep bird feeders full all year or else the birds will leave. Birds have a high metabolism and need to continually eat. Birds nest from late winter through late summer and during these months there is not an abundance of natural foods, so they need additional food for breeding and raising their young. From early fall through the winter, natural food sources become harder to find so it is important to keep feeders full with bird seed during this time. You can enjoy your birds 12 months of the year.

    Birds Love It

By Fran on Jan 13, 2021

I buy a peanuts-for-birds product from Chewy that birds of all sizes love, I love because there is no waste. I need to pulse the peanuts in a food processor to break some of it down for the smaller birds. The first time I bought the Wagner's Gourmet Nut N' Fruit the smaller birds loved it, doves go crazy over it, sparrows, titmouse, cardinals all love it. Nice small pieces. I find I have to chop the larger fruit pieces into smaller pieces otherwise they ignore it. Have bought this probably 4 or 5 times now and will continue to buy. Also, no waste, they eat every bit.

    A Bird Magnet!

By BirdyK on Dec 24, 2020

A true no waste product. Every little tidbit is readily taken by a variety of wild birds. I use it in a platform style feeder as the nuts are a bit large for any tube feeders I have. It also works in a large hopper feeder as well. I bought several bags and they have all been fresh, clean of any inedible debris. Great mix!

    Great product

By David on Feb 5, 2021

Fantastic product, like others have mentioned, my bird friends absolutely love it and eat every last piece. My only gripe is I wish these were sold in larger bags.

    Birds and Squirrels

    By FL2NJ on Sep 7, 2020

I purchased this and Wagner's safflower seed and wild bird seed. All products were packaged well (arrived without breaking also) and there was no "added" stuff. I also purchased Kaytee Squirrel and critter blend. All in all, I and the wildlife have been delighted!
