The birds in my back yard prefers it

I tried multiple kinds of hot pepper suet cakes. The birds in my back yard (central NJ) strongly prefers Pine Tree Farms suet cakes over all other hot pepper suet

I tried multiple kinds of hot pepper suet cakes. The birds in my back yard (central NJ) strongly prefers Pine Tree Farms suet cakes over all other hot pepper suet cakes (C&S Hot Pepper Delight No Melt, Brown's garden chic! and others). I placed these suet cakes in a double suet cake feeder and rotated it after every trial, so the feeder's orientation should not influence the results. The Pine Tree Farms cakes were completely eaten in 3-4 days in the winter whereas other cakes were eaten in 5-10 days. Note that all hot pepper cakes did not deter hungry squirrels.

Because our feeder is mounted near our deck (for a good window view), we have to bring it in every night to avoid the late-night marauding raccoons. Squirrels love it!

I have every squirrel for mile stopping by for a snack. Some eat for hours creating entertainment for the the dogs and everyone else.
