Francis loves it
This is good (Francis says so) and healthy. I will be getting a large bag soon. He will be glad to get only this as soon as we run out of his previous bag which he likes, but not as much as this. 50 characters is a lot to write.
Great Food for 2 Picky Eaters
Like most other reviews, at first my cats hated this food and refused to eat it. I mixed it in with their old cheap kibble and they would eat around the wellness bits. I was furious, after how much this bag cost I had really hoped my cats would gobble it up! The thing is, you can't give up. It took my cats close to 4 weeks to fully adjust to Wellness brand foods, but now that they have they all LOVE it and go wild when they here me opening the bag. Here is what I did to adjust my cats: Week 1: 1/4 Wellness, 3/4 Old Kibble - I ended up throwing out a lot of the wellness because they were eating around it and it was going stale (they hate stale food) Week 2 - 1/2 wellness, 1/2 old kibble - Cats were still fussy and ate around the wellness, though began eating some of it. Preferred old kibble. Week 3 - 3/4 Wellness, 1/4 old kibble - Cats were MAD. SO MAD that I took away their beloved kibble. Lots of late night meows. We were all upset. Week 4 - ONLY Wellness. - Complained for first 2 days. Half way through the week they were all fine and finishing their bowls!
Good quality kitty food.
My older cat really did well as we transitioned her to this dry food. She is 12 years old, so we wanted to get her something that would help her maintain her health. She is enjoying the food as far as I can tell. She’s been stalking me for it all day long.
Bought in spite of reviews
I really wanted my 13 year-old Russian Blue to like this food, because it is healthier for him (and my Great Dane does so well on their dry dog food). But my cat won't touch it, even after two days.
Human thrilled, cats not so much.
I love the ingredients and sourcing for this food, but my senior cats are not responding to the flavor. If they could only read the bag and see all the goodness this food offers for their aging bodies. May have to try a topper to keep them eating, because the I think they will truly benefit from this formula.
NOT MY CATS
I have been looking for a dry food to help my cat(s)' digestion during the winter months. Reviews indicated cats liked the flavor and ate the food. My cats won't try a bite! Must not smell appetizing.
best food going
I have been feeding Wellness wet and dry to my cat since she was 5 wks old, she will be 14 this yr and has only been sick once in her life.
Chewy is the Best
I wish all companies had the work ethic of Chewy. The ordering process is easy. Delivery of product is great.
My senior cat has been eating this dry food for a very long time. And she has lived a very long time without having any health problems. No diabetes either. I got her in 2004 from a shelter when she was 8 mos old. She is now about 17 years old. I can’t say with absolute certainty that she had done so well because of the food. But it’s sure a good sign. In the last 2 year’s I have begun to “add” wellness wet food to her dry food diet. I give her a small portion of wet food in the morning with 2 drops of old friend supplement on top. The wet food and supplement was added to her diet just to make sure she was getting plenty of moisture and vitamins in her food at an older age to avoid getting kidney and/or bladder problems thy can sometime plague elder cats. So far, so good.
Good ingredients, smells bad
I have older cats and was looking for good nutrition to keep them top top. The ingredients look very good for older cats. Trouble is that my cats won’t touch it. Cats go for things that smell good. This stuff smells really bad. I even tried leaving it as the only choice for food for a couple days. They would not even try it. I can’t recommend it.
