All of Wellness' plastic cups and cans are now BPA-free. Previously, the lids on their 12.5-ounce and 13.2-ounce sizes were the last to transition to BPA-free. To confirm that a 12.5-ounce or 13.2-ounce can is BPA-free, please look for an expiration date of March 2021 or later.

Transitioned my cats from Purina Beyond salmon & sweet potato to Wellness minced. Tried a variety of flavors in smaller 3 oz cans and they were doing well until I tried the 5.5 oz cans of tuna and turkey & salmon. Those seemed like a different recipe than the smaller cans, with a darker color. One of my cats was fine on it but the other would vomit after eating. Expiration dates on all cans were fine and all cans said they were made in the US. Chewy contacted me about my 1 star review and I'm very happy with how they handled this. Not sure which ingredient was the problem but I've been feeding them just 3 oz cans of chicken flavor and salmon flavor for 10 days and everything is going well now. Not too much broth/gravy in the cans, it's mostly meat. My cats need to gain a little weight and Wellness is higher calorie than the Purina Beyond.

The product clearly changed, Chewy used to carry the better version and for a while, you might get that or this other one, now it's only this version that we end up with. We have been feeding this to our cats for year with no issue until this other version came out. The chunks are big unlike the other formula which has nice, minced pieces. I wouldn't call this one minced, it's all chunks. The gravy is very smelly unlike the old formula which the cats love of course. We have five cats and our oldest, toothless cat can't digest the chunks from this version at all. If I buy the cans from a local shop, I'm able to get that other truly minced, less stinky formula which causes no problems with her. If I feed her this version, she vomits weird piles of white chunks (no gravy) up hours after she eats. The other four don't seem to have any trouble with the food but they all have teeth so.... I've recently switched her to a different brand of food that is truly minced and better for an old toothless girl. This seems to have fixed the issue. I do hope Chewy considers going back to the other truly minced version in the stronger cans, it's much better.

This food, according to Ernie, has a good flavor. It’s grain-free so I offer this along with his prescription food (not at the same time),due to his having chronic pancreatitis. This food is easily liquified if needed, in a blender. I liquify this Wellness along with about a 1/4 c purified water. Ernie loves it. Ernie also enjoys boiled skinless chicken (shredded) as a side dish every couple days or so.

I've fed my cats this food for a few years. The pieces were finely minced and my cats loved it. Recently, a new case showed up and the pieces are larger chunks and the food is smelly (not in a good way). It now gives my cats diarrhea and they vomit a few times/week. I'm super disappointed and will be switching brands now.

Our two cats have been eating this exact Wellness minced chicken wet food for five years. Today we opened the first can in a new case and the food was totally different. One of our cats wouldn't touch it, the other one ate it and then threw it all up. Something is really messed up with this food, and we will be returning it.

Our two cats ate this on/off for years no problems. Then bought a case recently because it was on sale. They were reluctant to eat and after eating threw up. First time chalked it up to a fluke but when it happened again we stopped feeding them this and went back to another brand. They stopped getting sick so we figured it was this food and threw the rest out. What a waste.
