What is the difference between Wellness Complete Health puppy food and Wellness complete Health puppy food for large breed?

At what age is the dog no longer eating puppy food and moves to adult food? My 6 lb. Maltese is 16 months old, seems to like this puppy food and is healthy, but I am not sure when to progress to later developmental age related food.
Answer by ChewyNov 19, 2017
A puppy is considered an adult generally around 1 year of age. You may transition to the Wellness Complete Health Adult Deboned Chicken & Oatmeal Recipe Dry Dog Food as it's not recommended to keep an adult on puppy food.

Approx how many cups are in a 30 lb bag of food?
Answer by ChewyOct 29, 2019
There will be approximately 4 cups of kibble per pound. The 5 pound bag will have close to 20 cups, the 15 pound bag close to 60 cups and the 30 pound bag close to 120 cups.

Will this puppy food help with sensitive stomachs?
Answer by ChewyDec 21, 2017
This product is specifically formulated for an overall healthy puppy but it does contain oatmeal as the third ingredient. Oatmeal is a great alternative carbohydrate for dogs who may be sensitive to wheat or other grains. Oats are full of linoleic acid, a type of omega-6 fatty acid that helps keep skin strong and healthy. They are also a good source of soluble fiber, which can help regulate blood glucose levels. This natural option is low in calories and fats, and its fiber content may help regulate some stomach problems in dogs.

TWO PAWS UP!!

My giant puppies give a two paws up. They absolutely love it! I've tried the Wellness Puppy Large Breed, but they weren't as eager to eat it. I think maybe it's bcz of the larger kibble. (???) They seem to prefer this food with smaller size kibble. I love this food bcz there's No carrageenan (ie. No dog farts), No corn, No wheat, No soy & No gluten. And it has pre & probiotics for healthy gut and digestive systems. It's great quality, healthy food fur my babies.

Perfect!

I love everything about this dog food. I did a lot of research about puppy food before I brought mine home and this was by far the best quality within my price range. My puppy was very skinny when I brought him home and now he’s a healthy weight. He also loves this food and I haven’t had any health concerns since switching him over. I also use the soft puppy treats by this brand and he adores those as well.

One of the top recommended kibbles but not for my puppy

I tried to transition my puppy from nutrisource over to wellness puppy kibbles because of the reviews online (plus my last dog ate Wellness Core with no issues), however the puppy kibbles gave my puppy diarrhea and soft stool. We followed the recommended transition instructions. We even took him to the vet to check because he was having constant diarrhea but after a couple of weeks we narrowed it down to the wellness puppy food. I had just opened the second 15 pound bag so now we are mixing wellness and nutrisource kibbles which seems to have helped improved his stool. We will be going back to 100% nutrisource kibbles. Wellness puppy kibbles just didn’t work well with my puppy’s GI.

Very happy.

My 7 mo old poodle mix puppy is a picky eater, but he will eat this food, does not refuse it like some other brands.

Happy eaters

I have two large dog breeds and they really enjoy this food. Their coats are shiny and look great!

I wish I could give it a 5.

I’ve purchased wellness products for my cat multiple times and he’s never had issues, so I figured I’d try the brand with my adult dog. However I did not read the title properly and realized this was puppy food so I decided to give it to her puppies instead. However they didn’t want to eat it and the ones that did eat it an hour later they started throwing up. After feeding the puppies we usually let them nurse from mom and she eats the left overs, we did this (not knowing that they would vomit an hour later) and the same thing happened with their mom. She started throwing up too. I don’t know if the puppies have a sensitive tummy and mom does too, I’ve never had her tested for allergies to food so I can’t fully blame it on the food, but it was the only change they had in their diet today. My cat loves wellness, but my dogs were definitely not fans.

Wellness safe us

I don't even know where to start . I have a 2 year pitbull that about about 9 months old started having skin problems & getting Ear infections. I tried him on so many different foods even adding tons of different oils and Local honey the oils and honey helped alot but dog still looked Measurable and all red i put him on blue buffalo and he started doing much better skin and coat started looking better but he still ate at his feet alot and would have skin Flare UPS for no reason so Decided I was going to change his food once again and if that didn't work he was going to have to start getting tested the vet thought The vet thought it was outside allergies even prescribed Benadryl which turned out my dog would be allergic to that too poor guy so Decided I'm going to give wellness and Victor a try i ordered them both just incase he wouldn't eat one of the two well anyways wellness showed up the day before the victor so I started the switch today will be his first day on wellness and man I'm so happy he's not all red has not ate at his feet or made the back of his breed from scratching the late few days and didn't keep me up licking and scratching his self lastnight but thats not even the best part . I was finally able to take him to the dog park and not have to leave because his eyes are puffy and his skin Welted from the long grass and didn't have to give him a shower thats what also made it so hard to treat him because the vet thought he was having Seasonal allergies but I knew it was the food I would watch his Pigmentation turn red as he was eating so Everything he came in contact with including grass made his skin irritated he wasn't healthy from the inside but now THANKS TWO WELLNESSS I HAVE A HEALTH PITBULLS my Female can eat anything she has no skin issues but was also switched to wellness at the same time

Thirsty

My puppy seems to be very thirsty. I hydrate the kibble but she still has a lot of thirst.

Ingredients sounds great, causes constant diarrhea

Bought this because the ingredients seemed a lot better than a lot of other large breed puppy foods. Puppy ate it (he will eat anything), but he’s had constant diarrhea ever since switching him. And yes, I followed the instructions and switched the food slowly over a couple of weeks to let him get used to it. Already changed it again because diarrhea is no fun for anyone and now I’m stuck with a huge bag of dog food.

Puppy wouldn't eat it

Unfortunately our puppy wouldn't eat this food. We just got her from foster care so we weren't sure if it was just the new environment, or the food. Even though we were mixing it with what she was on previously we could only get her to eat if we hand fed her. Then she ended up with diarrhea, and vomiting. We switched her back to her previous food, and she chows it every time. Too bad we bought the large bag.
