I switched to this product after a terrible go with Blue Buffalo which gave my dog nothing but potty issues and dehydration issues. So I went to this as I have used Wellness brand before with no issues. My dog loves it and has no issues with potty issues or dehydration. Highly recommend this brand!!!!!!! My dog is a 80lb old english bulldogge.
I want to love this dog food. I know the ingredients are good, my dogs are happy to eat it, and their digestion is excellent, but I’ve noticed they are shedding more. Additionally one of my dogs has lost all her luster in her coat and her skin is flaky. She has never looked this poor. I’m sad because I feel like it’s a healthy food, but we’re going to have to find another food. I’ve been feeding it for 4-5 months.
I have been using wellness for about 1.5 years without issue. In this latest bag I noticed the kibble looked differently than the last bags. My dog threw this up for three days. It was completely indigestible. Changing to another brand.
Everything is fine except that Chewy insists on only using Fed-Ex Ground which, instead of following the directions on the label, always dumps the very heavy box out on the edge of the road a long way from the house and driveway.
We have a Bluetick Coonhound. Feeding a large dog can get pricey but we still want to feed a quality food. When we decided to adopt another large dog, who had been rescued from a hoarding situation and was emaciated, I decided to find a dog food that was good quality, would meet both of their needs and be a decent price. I researched all the dog food rating sites and came up with a list of possible brands. I checked all of the brands out on Chewy's site and found some of them to be $100 plus a bag. When I checked the Wellness brand, I found that it had a price drop and was under $35 per bag, which is about half of the normal price. I ordered 2 bags, knowing that if there was a problem, Chewy would take them back. My dogs love it and it hasn't caused them any tummy upset.
Bought this food because our standard poodles poops were too soft with other food and he had lots of gas. His stools are nice and firm and he devoured the first bowl we gave him. Expensive but chewy has the best price and knowing he has quality food makes this a perfect purchase
Our husky was drinking lots of water and acting a little lethargic, unusual for her. We decided to try the wellness kibble as it contains deboned chicken which is supposed to be 60 - 70 percent water. It seems to be working well for her. We also think purchasing a specific food for large breeds has helped with her lethargy. We have also added a can of wet food a day. She seems much better!
You can always count on chewy having low prices for premium dog food. I have three dogs that are large, that eat this food, and they all love it! Even sometimes when I babysit my neighbor's dog Kaylum, he even enjoys it! I would definitely recommend this food for dog lovers that want a healthy diet with good ingredients and none of the byproducts and bad stuff in dog food. Plus the bonuses it's not high-priced like some other brands that are premium dog foods. It's just right!
Food color looks different from before and both dogs have periodically gotten sick. Going to be looking for an alternative. Which sucks because this food used to be the best
After two years both my German Shepherd dogs will no longer eat. Had a few bouts of diarrhea also. I have used this dog food with previous dogs for the past 15 years. Has the formula changed or are my dogs becoming picky eaters? Anyone else with this issue
