Wellness Small Breed Complete Health Adult Healthy Weight Turkey & Brown Rice Recipe Dry Dog Food

My toy chihuahua is 14 and has been eating wellness brand since she was about a year old. When she started getting a little chunky around she 10 we switched to the healthy weight. She loves it and has no problems eating the little bits - even with almost no teeth! She has slimmed down and is the right weight now - from 7 pounds to 5 pounds. I'll never change her food from wellness.

After literally spending 6 hours over a week's time researching hundreds of dry dog foods online, I decided upon Wellness but our Bernedoodle has no interest in this food at all. I am frustrated and still searching. I want a basic top-quality kibble (that I augment with little bits of home-cooked chicken, veggies and occasionally yogurt)--one without "meal," without by-products, that has meat or fish as first two ingredients, some good grains, veggies, and no GMO. Impossible to find! We used to do Blue Buffalo but am concerned about some of its ingredients and Beacon did not like it (though our previous Newfie and Berner liked it--both died of cancer, broke our heqrts). Any suggestions?

The taste was fine but my two small kids had a problem eating the kibble because even though it’s small breed; the kibble isn’t that small and Papi don’t have a complete set of teeth due to having several extracted since he was four years old before I had adopted him. Buttons teeth are very smaller than other Dachshunds even though she’s an adult. Switching back I don’t have to use a food processor which breaks down the nutrition.

I bought this food for my two dogs, with one of them being a little chunky and looking for something to help with both losing and maintaining a healthy weight. After just a week, I noticed a huge difference! Both of their coats are shiny, soft, and they love the taste! It is so difficult for me to find a food that my dogs enjoy while also promoting overall health and skin/coat care. I know losing weight will take time and exercise, but I am already noticing that my girl has more energy and can keep up with my other dog when we go for our walks!

Our dogs really like this food, and the small kibble is easy for them to chew. We have used it a long time. This particular batch (we bought 3) of bags, though, had a problem so that the zipper closures were damaged in production and did not work.

I have trust in Wellness dog food as I have seen it listed on many sites as a top pick to feed your dogs, however my small breed dog doesn’t seem to like it. She doesn’t get excited when I feed her...she likes the Wellness without grain instead. Therefore it gets an average rating

My 3 female dogs love it I change up their dry food every few months and this one was a winner I definitely recommend !!

Had trouble getting 14 year toy poodle to eat; so tried this brand, flavor, etc., she liked it and still prefers this to other brands/flavors I gave her.

I had been using the Wellness small breed adult formula for some time how for my two chihuahuas. The female however, was getting a slight bit overweight so I decided to go with something with less fat content. She seems to not mind the change, so that is a plus!

I bought this food to try out. Usually, I buy the Wellness Turkey & Oatmeal regular adult small breed kibble. We got this one to focus on the Pups weight management a bit more. We keep this food out in their bowls all day as they eat when they're hungry and pair it w/the wellness petite entrees wet food 2x per day. Our pups eat breakfast early in the morning w/the wet food for breakfast, then 12 hrs later again for dinner and have their dry food to eat when they want to. We've done this method for 30+ years and all of our animals have been in great health. This food is great. The only difference between this and the other one is the slight color difference as the weight management food is lighter I bought this food to try out. Usually, I buy the Wellness Turkey & Oatmeal regular adult small breed kibble. We got this one to focus on the Pups weight management a bit more.
