Feeding Instructions

The amount of food your dog requires depends on age, activity level, breed and environment. Always provide access to clean, fresh water.

When fed alone to Adults: feed 1 - 1 1/4 cans per 8 lbs of body weight per day.

For puppies: up to twice Adult amount.

For combination feeding: reduce dry by 1/3 cup for every 1/2 can wet.

Transition Instructions

The best way to transition onto a new food is to gradually introduce the food by mixing it with the old diet. Mixing the food will allow the dog to acclimate to the new taste and not overindulge on the new food.

My dogs give this five tail wags

    By on

I researched and read reviews before selecting Wellness Stew. I'm feeding my second case of Turkey and the Turkey & Duck formulas and plan to purchase more flavors soon. My dogs range in size and ages I use this as a topper mixing well into their dry food. One of my dogs has a sensitive tummy she has had no issues from day one. Only one of my dog family members has been finicky at mealtime. Since adding this to his diet he is first in line to clean his bowl. Improved appetite is reflected in new coat growth and some needed weight gain. I'm very pleased with this food as well as other Wellness products. My dogs give it five tail wags!

    Can dog food

    By on

I have a 10 month old German shepherd and he wasn’t eating his regular meals. Maybe half of his required amount. With him growing it had me worried so I put a teaspoon of can food with his dry food and he eats everything up . I love it. I hope not to continue this but for not we’re all happy.

One dog loves, one dog not as excited.

    By on

It’s funny, one of my dogs doesn’t seem to want to dig into any of the stew-type wet dog foods - he prefers the pates - go figure. My other dog loves it though, thus the 4-star rating. This is a 5-star rating in terms of meat content with no controversial ingredients on Dog Food Advisor, though it is pricey in my opinion.

All paws up on Wellness Turkey & Duck Stew!

    By on

My three sweet little hooligans love this stew. Chow down time is always fun to watch. (Bowl licking good.) Perfect consistency, healthy ingredients and looks/smells delicious. I use all of the Wellness Stews as a topper to their dry kibble. Their absolute favorite is the Wellness lamb and beef stew with grain but the Turkey & Duck combination now moves into second place. Very pleased with Wellness and Chewy!

    Great Food

    By on

This food is highly rated by both Chewy customers and independent sources. Was searching for a canned food that both of my dogs would be able to eat. They have sensitive stomachs and both reject peas in any food. My two Senior dogs love this variety. It has the added benefit that their meds can mixed in and no pill wraps are needed.

My Yorkies love this food. I mix a spoonful with their Wellness hard food and they can't get enough! They especially love the stews.

    Tess says it's tasty

Our husky said she wanted a little variety in her banquet. We already mix in Wellness Chicken Stew with her kibble. She likes Turkey and Duck also.

This was a big hit for our 9 month old Boxer. We transitioned him from puppy food into this one and he really likes it! :-)

Perfect grain free option with soft texture for elder dog

    By on

My dog needed a softer food with no grain. He liked it and my other two dogs have enjoyed as a topper with their food. This was a good choice for my dog who needed to eat after losing interest in food and difficulty chewing dry food.

    Great supplemental food

    By on

I like this food because it tempts my guys to begin their meal. I have a couple of picky eaters and they like this food a lot so I sort of dress the top of their food with it. But it is low calorie so I would never consider it adequate primary food.
