I love Weruva and so does my cat, but I was soooo disappointed that the salmon variety has sardines and mackerel with tons of bones in it. I had to pick out little pin bones and pieces of spine before feeding my cat. Unfortunately I bought 4 cases of this and already opened them to store in my pantry so I’ll be picking through each of the salmon cans for bones and I won’t re-buy the variety pack.
To start, Weruva is a very high-quality brand with excellent food. I open a can of any of the four flavors and my cat comes running. Whenever I get this out, she acts like I haven't fed her for days. The moment I started giving her these she'd turn her nose up at her old Friskies. BUT, the thing is, I've gotten a few of these packs and maybe 1/12 cans of two separate shipments seem to be kinda caved in. It doesn't look like damage was sustained during shipping and the package it comes in is very sturdy so I have to wonder why it was like that. Maybe something during the manufacturing process just goes wrong once in a while and something happens while it's being sealed? I'm not sure. In any case, it's a little worrying since damaged cans can lead to contaminated food but the ones I received seem fine. I hope they can remedy this. Otherwise, I'm a huge fan of Weruva as it is wonderfully tasty (for my cat) and nutritionally balanced.
Never had this issue with any wet food, and my cats have tried all kinds. One of my cars threw up ALL the food within an hour of eating it multiple times, from multiple flavors in this pack. I would highly recommend any other weruva brands, but this one clearly is not very quality
These variety packs are such a GREAT way to see if the food is acceptable for the kitties in the house. I was able to determine that 3 of the 4 flavors were absolutely acceptable! I added them to the rotation. I have never fed these guys anything with chicken, we all know should they ever develop an allergy, none of the Rx foods would ever work for them. So, they eat everything BUT chicken jic. I will say, they would not even try it. Meanwhile if you have a cat who likes people food (none of mine do) - it smelled like something I would make and eat.
This brand was not enticing for one of my cats. He would barely go up to the bowl to smell it, let alone eat it. My other cat ate it, but not with her normal enthusiasm. As a special treat, this did not meet expectations.
My cat likes the three flavors but consistently throws up the pumpkin. I’ve stopped giving her that can now and I’m going to have to cancel my auto shop order for this variety pack.
i tried this food because i thought it had good nutrition, but my cats can’t seem to keep it down. i tried it a month or so ago and then stopped feeding it to them for a while. i recently tried to feed it to them to clean out my cat food stock and it made them both immediately throw up. maybe other cats like it and can eat it, maybe i got a bad batch, but i’m going to stick with fancy feast for now.
Cats would not eat it. They did attempt to try the chicken and the turkey but ate very little. The rest the sniffed and walked away. Picky cats...guess they are more used to raw and/or kibble but trying to avoid kibble.
We prefer the ones that are easy on the palate like Pate's and kinda chunky. They don't care fire human looking food nor anything stringy
