Human Food Standards

Weruva pet foods are made in a state-of-the-art human food facility that caters to many countries, each with its own processing standards. Weruva proudly earned an “A” grade on The British Retail Consortium (BRC), which is one of the strictest standards.

Specifically Formulated for Feline

Cats are obligate carnivores, which means they only need meat and water to survive. All Weruva recipes are formulated with this in mind. The calories in each recipe come from three places: protein, fat and carbohydrates. The calories from meat are comprised of protein and fat with minimal, if any, calories coming from carbohydrates.

Seems acceptable

I have six cats and five of them seem to like this food. It’s white meat chicken with peas and carrots and seemingly a yummy broth. I do have to tear the shredded chicken pieces into smaller manageable bits. Also if I smash the peas they will even eat those.

Fat cat approved

This really does look like chicken soup- good enough for a human to eat! My cat gobbles it up and licks her bowl clean, but she's not usually a very picky eater. It's also relatively low in calories, so I can give my "easy keeper" cat the whole can, though I usually split it between morning and afternoon (and feed something else in the evening) since she thinks she's dying of hunger if she only gets fed twice daily.

I thought my cat was the only one

My cat is one of the most picky eater ever, I’ve tried every can of food at our pet market and this she loves, except the peas! I thought she was the only one but after reading the other reviews it seems like no one’s cat eats the peas!

Product Change

There are now so many peas in each can, it’s hard to find the chicken! Will never order again!

Cat would not touch it

Cat wouldnt touch it. She likes the grandmas soup by weruva so I figured this was a close match. Nope. Way too many veggies in this, would rather they added more broth. Not a hit. Also, customer service is making me ship them back to the food since it didnt work out. Just a heads up for anyone looking to try the brand, prepare for a trip to fed ex if it doesnt work out!

This food looks great

We just adopted our Kitty. He loves this stuff eats everything even the veggies. We even add extra water which he licks up. This looks like something I would eat.

Decent Cat Food

As a whole there is nothing wrong about the ingredients in this food, But I personally think that there are way too many peas, not enough chicken and too much liquid. If there were more chicken and less peas and liquid, I would always buy it. None of my cats like to eat the hard peas, so I have to smash them up and they leave too much behind. A waste of money.
