Would a small size be okay for a dog that is 30lb border collie mix, a little on the small side?or is a large better.

The Small measures 5.5 x 2.25 x 2.25 inches while the Large measures 6.5 x 2.75 x 2.75 inches. The Small would be suitable for a light to moderate chewer however the Large is recommended for strong chewers.
Is the opening end hole a different size depending on the size (S/L)?

The large has a ½-3/4 inch opening , and 3/8 to ¼ on the small. These are really hard to measure because there are little fins on the inside that hold the treats tight, those are the smaller of the sizes given.
Can this toy go in the freezer?

Yes, all Zogoflex toys can go in the freezer. The Qwizl was originally designed for stick like treats, such as bully sticks or dental sticks. The Tux treat toy works well for freezing creamy or pureed treats as another option.
Approximately how much kibble does this hold? .5 cup? More? Less?

This toy is designed to hold a variety of different treats. The size of the kibble or treats will depend on how many pieces can fit inside, but generally it'll fit no more than a handful.

Durable and my dog loves it

This is one of the best toys I've found for my dog, who is a smaller dog but a pretty aggressive chewer. I ordered to Large size. I cut a milk bone in half and lodge it in the side, and it can keep her busy for 30-40 minutes. We've done that a handful of times now, and the toy still mostly intact. I'm impressed! She loves it.

Not for tough chewers

This toy lasted about 5 minutes before my dog bit off a big chunk of it. I will say he really enjoyed it before that happened. We have other West Paw toys made out of the same material and those have lasted for months. If you have a tough chewer, I would avoid this one.

They love it

I was nervous spending so much on a dog toy that could flop, but I wound up buying two because they love it. I make an oatmeal and peanut butter filling, cover the holes with plastic wrap, fill, and freeze. It keeps them busy for an hour at least.

Great enrichment!

As a professional dog trainer I have used and recommended them for years. The Qwizl is one of the best treat dispensing toys out there due to ease of use, ease of cleaning, durability, fun for dogs and awesome enrichment!

Looks good

The toy itself looks great. However, I ordered one that was too big for my dog. And I’m not really sure what treats I would fit inside this. But it looks very sturdy.

Challenging puzzle or good bully stick holder

This toy can be made impossible for the dog so I try not to create that "level" of challenge. It's great as a bully stick holder or using with slim jerky treats.

West Paw Quizl Right Treat Dispensing Dog Chew Toy

I bought this after watching the video thought it was a great concept. I put a chicken stick in it and threw it down my dog walked up to it and turned around and walked away, and still hasn't played with it and I'm unable to remove the chicken stick. So this is not for us but will gift it to another pet parent.

Not bad

I use this to hold bully sticks and it’s really effective at slowing my dog down from inhaling the whole thing and also preventing choking on the end of the stick. My dog is an aggressive chewer though and has completely shredded both sides of the Qwizl when trying to get to the bully stick end. So far no issues with choking on the rubber pieces cos she’s pretty good and spitting the big pieces out but I have seen some shreds in her poop.

Quizls are a must-have at our house

I began putting bully sticks in a Quizl because I was worried my poodle puppy would swallow the last small bit. Now she’s a grown up I occasionally give her a bully stick without the Quizl when I can watch her, but she began tearing long strings off the stick creating its own hazard. Now we are back to using the Quizl every time. We use a small size Quizl with an X large bully stick, and use pliers to pull out more of the stick after it is chewed down.

this is a non destroyable toy. it is hard to put in the treats
