Both pups immediately went for this toy. But my girl took it for her prize! She isn’t a big chewer so we were surprised and glad that she found a toy she liked to chew. My boy just simply loves toys! All toys. We took Skamp outside to play with and it really is fun. Bounces, tosses well and with 3 “arms” makes for a great game of tug. Great toy. To top it off, I brought it inside after play and washed it with a little dish soap and voila beautifully clean. Doesn’t squeak. They have plenty of toys that do squeak so we’re good!

Something has changed, West Paw Skamp chew toy now smells like chemicals.

I have purchased this West Paw Skamp tough dog chew toy in the past, and it was great. Something has changed. It is now more textured, which is fine, but it is shinier

I have purchased this West Paw Skamp tough dog chew toy in the past, and it was great. Something has changed. It is now more textured, which is fine, but it is shinier and now has a chemical odor and taste. Yes, I tried it. It made my tongue numb. It is also NOT BPA-free, as plastic #7, which is stamped on this product, is not a food-safe recommended item. I choose not to give this to my dogs anymore.

My dog absolutely loves this toy. Unfortunately it's not that tough. It split where the seems are within a day, but it hasn't completely fallen apart and he still plays with it. Admittedly he's a two year old pit bull so he's pretty rough on his toys.

Too slippery, not enough texture

Too difficult for the dog to get any tooth / mouth traction on this toy. Just slips right out of his mouth and can't play tug which he loves to do and was the purpose

Too difficult for the dog to get any tooth / mouth traction on this toy. Just slips right out of his mouth and can't play tug which he loves to do and was the purpose of getting this toy. He's a 35lb border Collie. Just doesn't work. He's not interested in chewing it either.

My dogs love running around the yard carrying this toy but it split wide open at a seam despite not allowing them to chew on it. For almost $20 I expected the toy

Best toy ever!

I’ve purchased more toys for my Shepherd than I can count. He loves to play but isn’t the best at returning his toys.. No matter which toy I get out of his basket

I’ve purchased more toys for my Shepherd than I can count. He loves to play but isn’t the best at returning his toys.. No matter which toy I get out of his basket he usually shows back up with his skamp. He’s also lost quite a few. I’ve purchased other West Paw toys but this one is his favorite. One day I’m sure most will surface. But that’s OK too, because we love our fur kids.

My pups love this toy!

This toy is great for my adult pitbull and puppy malinios. Soft enough for puppy teeth, but sturdy enough for adult jaws!
