Power chewer approved
By boymom on Jan 27, 2021
My dog (heeler/Australian Shepard mix) is a power chewer in every way. He clears thigh bones, bully sticks, and Kong toys in just a few minutes. I bought a West Paw after my mom bought one for her power chewer. The thing doesn't break. I want to say we've had it for two weeks now(?). I am assuming is a "self-healing" material? He chews on it all day and I honestly don't think I could be more thrilled. I am sure that I will have to but a new one eventually because nothing is truly indestructible. But I will be looking for more West Paw toys.

Tough but not tough enough!
By Molly on Mar 16, 2021
I chose this toy because it was advertised as being tough enough for large dogs like German Shepherds. It was tough enough for 2 days. Then it started to split where it had been chewed.

Finally Found
By Sucker4Animals on Dec 17, 2020
I have had this for well over 2 years. The two dogs I had initially had no real interest in it. About 2 years ago, I received this big guy (pictured) and he wanted to carry it everywhere. A couple of months ago, I was given another pup. He also likes to play with it and chew on it, which started me on a path to looking for another one. As I had purchased it so long ago, I couldn’t remember where I bought it or who manufactured it. This item matches the one we have perfectly, including the paw :-) I tend to stick with products by Kong, because I take in dogs who need a home with a yard to safely be able to run and play. These pups tend to be heavy chewers and with every pup my home becomes I have had this for well over 2 years. The two dogs I had initially had no real interest in it. Great toy for a strong chewer.
By Callie on Mar 5, 2021
My dog is a 2 yr old Lab/Border Collie mix, 76#, strong chewer. This has been a great toy for her and has lasted months. I keep it in the house for her to play with and it is her favorite!

West Paw is AWESOME
By Angela on Jan 22, 2021
We have two Labradors who love to destroy their toys. Even the "indestructible" hardly make it 24 hours in our home. West Paw is different. The only toys our dogs don't destroy! Love it. AND we love Chewy.com. . .the greatest place to purchase all things dogs. Fast shipping & stellar customer service!

Not for tough chewers
By Lovethelake on Mar 13, 2021
Looked like it would be a strong flexible toy for our 8 month-old Labradoodle. He chewed end into pieces within 30 minutes.

The dogs love it!
By KBINMI on Dec 4, 2020
Great toy, everyone wants to play with it. Our dogs are moderate cheers, and this holds up very well with them. We've purchased other similar toys from this company because each dog wants his own. They've all met our exceeded my expectations for longevity.

Zogoflex Hurley Failed — Sticking with Zwig
By Matt on Oct 4, 2020
What a shame! The West Paw Zwig has been and now will remain our go to toy! Spock has about 8 Zwigs and not a single one has failed in 3 years, Spock is a 120 pound super chewer Irish Wolfhound. Every toy tried failed in seconds to minutes except the Zwig. I do not know if it is the material or the chewy, hollow build, but they hold up and he enjoys them. He was excited and got busy chewing on the new Zogoflex Hurley. It failed in minutes. It is solid, not hollow, and he broke it into chipped off pieces. It had to go in the trash so he would not swallow pieces. Even the black Kong toys last just moments. So the Zwig is the best for our Spock and we will order another today.

My 8 Month Old Puppy Approves!
By MelO on Sep 27, 2020 top25Contributor
I love West Paw brand, they have so many fun choices, I like that they have options for moderate, light, or strong chewers. This one is sturdy, heavier than some other toys, but my puppy doesn't mind. He doesn't really spend time gnawing on it, so I'm not sure how well it holds up to chewing. He loves sticks so I have been buying him some toys that are similarly shaped. This is one of the toys I use to work on his fetching skills, along with putting his toys away in his toy basket. He likes the lighter weighted toys from this brand better for fetching, but he'll still grab this one for me in exchange for a treat. I find it goes farther across my yard than the lighter toys.
