My vet recommended my dog have more pumpkin in his diet to help with some gland issues. My dog does not like pumpkin puree frozen, canned or even mixed with other things. When I saw these, I wanted to give them a try. He loves them a lot and I give him some everyday. I love the simple ingredients. That's all we needed, not a lot of added artificial ingredients. Thank you!

These used to be WONDERFUL. They were the only single-ingredient pumpkin chews/treats I could find, and I went through many, many bags of them. I always had them on hand. Then, they disappeared everywhere for quite some time. It looked like they were discontinued. Imagine my surprise when I saw them again, I was SOOO excited. However... I feel like they look/smell different. They used to be more, like, random pieces of pumpkin. Now, they look like a sliced, smaller, different squash, and smell sweeter. I thought I was imagining it, that they must just be using smaller pumpkins or something. But after the vet gave my dog a bile acid increasing medication that gave her terrible diarrhea, I was doing everything I could to solidify her waste again, and remembered I had these again. So once the medication was stopped, I started giving her these regularly... and it got worse again. I racked my brain trying to figure out what it was, and it wasn't until I saw a review here saying that they gave their dog loose stools, that it made me wonder if that's why I couldn't get her stools to go back to normal The more "pumpkin" I gave her, the longer she had the soft stools. I finally stopped giving them to her, and now she's back to pooping normally. I don't know if it's the glycerin, or if they're using something other than pumpkin now, but these are not what they used to be, and it's such a bummer!! Please go back to making the old pumpkin strips!!

I usually make pumpkin strips but with pumpkins out of season I ran out of the dehydrated supply I had and needed an alternative. These strips are very small and sharp. My dog likes the larger strips in the bag but will not eat the smaller unless I add it to her food. I think they may be too sharp for her teeth and mouth. Sorry, I would not recommend for larger dogs.
