Velcro closure?

Yes, this collar features a Velcro-style closure. So, it is easy to put on and easy to adjust. Plus, the soft-plastic collar is trimmed with a green velvet-type fabric so it is soft against your dog's skin. My dogs did not seem bothered by it (and, they normally try to remove other collars I put on them).

Does this protect after eye surgery?

Comfortable & Flexible Protection

I ordered the Medium-sized collar for my Corgi. She loved it. The "velcro" fasteners made it easy to put it on her. And, the high quality, flexible plastic was soft and comfortable for her to wear -- she could even sleep in it! I have purchased similar collars from my vet in the past, but she always hated them and refused to wear them. However, when I put this collar on her, she remained relaxed and wasn't bothered at all. She was able to eat her food while wearing it, but was unable to bite or lick herself. So, the collar worked perfectly! I then took one-half of the medium-sized collar, and tried it on my 20-pound Miniature Schnauzer. It fit him perfectly. He can be temperamental and stubborn, but he remained remarkably calm when I put the collar on him. He seemed comfortable while wearing it and was unable to bite or lick himself, so the collar protected him, as well. Wow! One collar worked for two totally different dogs! The WZ Pet Protection Cover arrived in a sturdy box, wrapped in plastic. So, it was well-protected during shipping. Plus, it came with instructions explaining how to put it on and how to adjust it. The size I ordered (medium) is composed of two halves that can be easily adjusted to fit a variety of neck sizes. And, the flexible collar easily folds up for compact storage. I highly recommend the WZ Pet Protection Cover.

Flexible material and adjustable sizing

This cone has come in handy for my dog who had TPLO Surgery a couple weeks ago. The velcro strip is pretty wide so that you can adjust the size to fit a decent variety

This cone has come in handy for my dog who had TPLO Surgery a couple weeks ago. The velcro strip is pretty wide so that you can adjust the size to fit a decent variety of neck sizes, a bit over what the size guide says. The material is flexible and doesn’t crack if the dog runs into something. My dog can also comfortably sleep with this on because it is soft and bendy. The cone has a slightly opaque material, allowing the dog to still see through well. The only feedback I have is that I would like the cone to be a few inches longer so that dogs with longer noses don’t have the end of their nose sticking out, potentially allowing them to pick at incisions. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this cone for comfort and durability.

No longer the “cone of shame”!

When I received the product, I did not realize it would be in two pieces. But after opening it up I discovered you can use one or both pieces to create the size

When I received the product, I did not realize it would be in two pieces. But after opening it up I discovered you can use one or both pieces to create the size cone you need. The Velcro on both pieces seems to create pretty strong hold. I have not yet had a need to use it on my girl but for the purpose of this review I had her “try it on”! I do believe this product will be very convenient when needed!

This adjustable collar is flexible for a dogs comfort but does the job with keeping them from licking or scratching an area. Velcro is the means by which it is held on your furry family member. Threads and material can get snagged in this but only if you don’t take the time when putting on. There is enough Velcro to hold it on securely. Having a strip of material around the outer edge of the cone gives your dog a reference frame. Like any cone, there is a learning curve for them to understand. It’s well made and does the job.

This is one of the nicest cones that I have used on my guys The two ends use a hook and loop ( Velcro type) closure which makes it easy to adjust for various neck sizes, plus it rolls up easily for storage. I keep one at my house and have one in the car in the event it is needed after a vet visit. Sure don't want to pay their prices.
