Is the top cover removable for cleaning?

The top cover is not designed to be removed. It can be cleaned with a damp cloth and gentle soapy water if needed.

It's a lot shorter than I expected

My cat likes it but won't sleep in there yet. It will take some time for him to get used to it. But all in all it's nice and soft for a cat

Not ideal for multi cat household and adult cats

I wanted to like it. The color is great but too many cons: 1) the scratch poles are a joke. They are thin and will bot hold up to 4 adult cats. They will be torn

I wanted to like it. The color is great but too many cons: 1) the scratch poles are a joke. They are thin and will bot hold up to 4 adult cats. They will be torn up in no time. 2) The top seating area is holstered and soft but not removable like the other one I have so also not washable. Would have been great! 3)the only great feature on this tree are the caves. My cats like to sleep in those. Overall, I do not recommend this tree for multiple adult cats because of the thin scratching poles. Maybe it will work for kittens.

It's cute but...

I ordered this for my cat to replace another tree we have that's getting older. Unfortunately it ultimately ended up being a little smaller than we wanted for her...however

I ordered this for my cat to replace another tree we have that's getting older. Unfortunately it ultimately ended up being a little smaller than we wanted for her...however I do agree with some of the other reviewers here in the fact that it's a pain to put together and not very sturdy at all. It's not "hard" to figure out the instructions but trying to match up the screws was tedious and NOT easy. It also off-gasses like no one's business, so if you're sensitive to smells, please be aware.

Unstable

Unfortunately, this product is not engineered well. It's not stable. We needed a larger top platform for our Pookie bc she outgrew the old one. This one has the

Unfortunately, this product is not engineered well. It's not stable. We needed a larger top platform for our Pookie bc she outgrew the old one. This one has the bottom slanted scratching board unattached to the base which made the whole thing rock. I hammered it onto the base and it did improve the stability some, except I may have split the base board, we'll see. But the top part of the tower, although having 2 post supports still rocks. Our Pookie loved to race up the old one and altho braced with only one large post held secure. But in one of her many naps at the top she actually fell off (she just didn't fit in it anymore) with loud thud and was a tad stunned. Not good. So I bought this new one which has a larger top platform. Very disappointed in the quality but will have to make do. Husband will need to secure another board to support the top better. And this on is actually 10" shorter than the old one and the old one was more balanced and secure. So, buyer beware. Not stable architecture.
