Disappointed in this "premium" food

I have older cats with chronic diseases, diabetes, IBD and FIV+. I try to bolster their immune systems with as high quality diet they will eat. I read other reviews

I have older cats with chronic diseases, diabetes, IBD and FIV+. I try to bolster their immune systems with as high quality diet they will eat. I read other reviews of this food, and was hopeful my cats would eat it. One review said it had plenty of juice, and while the food was dry, this helped offset it. These are 6oz cans. I used what juice/broth there was in the first half of the can, with none left to moisten the dry second half. Sadly, none did and I am stuck with the expense and the food. I will discuss with Chewy"s customer service any options that may exist for my situation.

As a mom of 5 extremely picky cats, I was pleasantly surprised with how much my crew liked this food! It’s always a struggle, especially if it’s healthy so I was so happy they enjoyed this. If they ate even half of this, it would be considered a victory & I’m happy to say this ticked all the boxes for them. Big can, which is great. Nice amount of juice, which is important & seemed to pique their attention most of all. Two of five immediately started eating & didn’t lift their heads up u til they were almost done. The others didn’t seem to like it right away, but kept coming back & eventually ate their share. The food smells fresh & I mushed the pate up with a fork for texture. They ate more of Zeal than any other food—cheap or expensive that I’ve tried so far. For cats that don’t eat a ton with each meal, this one can could feed multiple cats. This can fed my 5 for breakfast! I’ll definitely be trying this again

I was so happy to see a large can of cat food with good ingredients. I have mixed reviews of this product. As a wet food this is actually a little dry and it was hard to scoop out of the can. Even though there is a good bit of liquid in the can it was hard to combine it with the pate. The first feeding my cats were not impressed and didn’t eat much. It took several cans before they decided they liked it. Loved the larger can and would definitely try another flavor to see if it would be a better choice.

My cats went crazy for this! One cat is pretty picky but he dove right into his bowl. I love the quality ingredients that are much needed for cats. No fillers, grains, food colorings or flavors added, just organs and meat. It also includes some green lipped mussels, salmon oil and kelp for coat and joint health. Really happy with this brand as are my kitties!

Zeal from New Zealand wet cat food has a decent smell not too potent or fishy. 2 out of my 3 cats will eat it over their old food they actually prefer the taste

Zeal from New Zealand wet cat food has a decent smell not too potent or fishy. 2 out of my 3 cats will eat it over their old food they actually prefer the taste vs old food. The 3rd very picky cat won’t eat it he is extremely picky and prefers only eating dry food unless he has no choice.
