Texture/Consistency May Be An Issue

I was hoping the Calming Mousse would be something our cats would be interested in, particularly our Orange Boy, because he tends to be...extremely Orange. We usually give them either Tiki Cat Luau Velvet or Churu, and they love both of those. Sadly, they weren't on board with the Zesty Paws Calming Mousse. The smell seemed to draw them in, both were initially curious, sniffed and tasted, but didn't go for it after that first inspection. Cats are weird, so I can't say for sure, but if I had to, I'd guess that it's a flavor issue, a texture issue, or a combination of those. The Zesty Paws Calming Mousse doesn't look like a mousse; it's transparent and jelly-like, and has a thinner jelly-like consistency. Not a smooth pureed mousse texture. Like I said, the aroma got our cats interested initially, but something put them off about it. Your mileage may vary, particularly if your cats are a little more food/treat motivated than ours, but if they're picky about texture, you might want to start off with a small sample first. Wish we'd had better luck with this product, but I'd mostly lay the blame on our finicky cats, as opposed to the product itself.

This is good for calming my cat during stressful situations. It has ingredients and vitamins to help him relax. I fed this to my cat the first time and he was skeptical of something new, but he ate it all up. After that he won't eat it anymore. My cat can be picky and decide when he doesn't like something anymore after eating it several times. It's a great treat for cats for calming or stressful situations if your cats likes the taste.

Thanks Zesty Paws for the free Calming Mousse Chicken Flavored Lickable Supplement! But, sadly, my cat wanted nothing to do with this. She's not super picky but snubbed the mousse. We tried giving her the calming mousse 3 separate times. The first time she was curious but after a few licks walked away, so we waited a few days and tried again by putting it in a bowl and the same reaction. I'm not sure if it was the smell that was a no for her or an general dislike. I'm disappointed - I was excited to try this and see if it would help calm her. The packaging and the concept are great - we have given her things from this line before with no issue.

I tried to entice them with their favorite treats and even adding it to their daily meal. It was a hassle for them to eat and they just weren’t interested in it. One of them did try a little bit but I didn’t notice any calming effects.

Only one of my cats was actually interested in this. The flavor seems good, he acted like he really liked the chicken flavor but the texture threw him off. It’s super thick and sticky, almost like molasses, so it kind of stuck to his mouth like peanut butter when he tried to lick it. I ended up mixing it in with their Churu treats, and that worked much better. Overall, the texture could definitely be smoother, but when it’s blended with other lickable treats, it’s fine. It also seemed to have a mild calming effect. He took a fat nap afterward.

We really hoped our cats would enjoy these and maybe even mellow out a bit. We have two cats, one extremely picky and one who usually isn’t too hard to please. but the picky one wouldn’t even bother sniffing this, and the other gave it a couple licks, a few confused sniffs, and walked away. Sadly, these just weren’t a match for our cats. On top of that, the texture seemed offputting, and it definitely didn’t make my cat feel any calmer.

We'll we had high hopes that cats would like these. We have 2 cats 1 that is notoriously picky and the other that generally isn't to picky. The both like the churus, but the picky eater wouldn't even think about sniffing them. They other took a few licks and few more sniffs then wandered off. Unfortunately these were not for our cats. I think they did not care for the gel like consistency.

My kitty loved these.. didn't take much convincing and she was instantly hooked! I normally hate the strong odor of kitty treats and found these weren't too bad.

Thanks to Zesty Paws for the free Calming Mousse for my cat through buzzagent. While I had hope it would be a hit with her, she just didn't care for this. I tried on 3 separate occasions, and after a lick or two, she actually started hissing at the packaging. I'm sure the product would be liked by other cats - just not mine.
