Obsessed with this Light
The low profile of this light is awesome. I had the really bulky ceramic one and this one is sooo much better!
Works perfectly for my purposes.
I wanted a low profile heat lamp that would fit within the raised lid on my 29 gallon anole terrarium, while not being seen. My lid has about 4" of clearance inside, this lamp falls well within that even when caged. (The lid has a glass and screen top, open on the bottom, so the cage prevents direct access to the lamp and bulb.) I use it with a 25W mini halogen, and it heats the basking and ambient temps to within specs.
Important before you buy
This fixture requires PIN type bulbs, NOT the standard screw in. I try to be responsible, I read the description, reviews, and looked at all the photos. I don’t like doing returns (even though Chewy is awesome about it, which is why I shop here). And I could not tell how the bulbs went in or what type of socket they needed. I put off ordering the light fixture and tossed back and forth between this and the double or just getting a led for months. Finally broke down and ordered this one and what my best guess as to a bulb for it. In my application I am wanting to add an appropriate light to add plants and make my snake enclosure naturally planted and augment the view. I also have to deal with a small space as to not melt the top plastic supports on the top of my exoterra and a short height because of the bookshelf like thing I placed the tank in. So it’s totally fluff and not required for animal health. Honestly I can NOT test light fixture as I bought the wrong bulb. It’s easy to see in my photos what is NOT stated clearly. Chewy refunded the bulb that doesn’t fit, but it’s not going to help light my tank unless I either pay shipping or wait until I put a larger order together. So please see my photos before buying bulbs for this light fixture. I’ll update review after I can try it out. I’m a bit miffed as it almost seems like the important information was left off the product photos. Below are 2 views that are important in the decision making process IMO.
Great low profile fixture!
This fixture can be used with Zilla's 25W or 50W Halogen bulbs for heat or you can use Zilla's mini UVB bulbs. It comes with hardware to attach to the top screen of your habitat to keep it safe and secure. I always worry less when I can keep my lights locked into place so they can't be accidentally knocked down and become a fire risk. I use this fixture with a mini tropical UVB light for my day gecko.

I really like the Zilla Low Profile Reptile Terrarium Lamp Fixture Single. I received it very quickly. It’s made of high quality materials, but was still very inexpensive. My 16 year old son was able to set it up very easily. It works great!! I received cashback for this item as part of a cashback program.
Great shape fixture
We got this lighting fixture for our bearded dragons tank. We have an old fixture that I wanted to replace and this looked like a good one. It is very sturdy and it has more of an oval shape which I like better than the the full round ones. My favorite part was the little springs it comes with to keep stabilized on the top of the tank and avoids it from shifting or falling over.
Great light
Great light. Puts out a good amount of heat. Heats up a rock nicely for a basking rock. I like the low profile because it fits so many places. I received CashBack on this purchase and participating in a CashBack program.
Great product!
So many heat and light fixtures are large and bulky, and put limitations on habitat design. We were thrilled to discover Zilla's bulbs and fixtures to be able to design our habitat in a way we wanted while still ensuring that our hedgehog stayed warm and cozy. These fixtures are compatible with the Zilla CHE bulbs as well, which is what we use them with. We ordered two sets of bulb and fixture, and we did have an issue with one of the sets but Chewy very quickly replaced the broken items and we're very appreciative of the excellent customer service. Highly recommend Zilla products, and we'll be using them for the foreseeable future!

Very nice so far
So far I am really loving this. Our tank takes so many lights and they take up so much room I love that this is a low profile product. This will do great for our tank and will free up some more room to maybe add to it.
