My lizard seems to prefer the spray over the powder calcium. I like it because it's easier to use and doesn't fall off the bugs like the powder does.
In our rescue practice we receive too many repti's with metabolic issues and we've used this product for several years. I like it because it seems to make a difference, doesn't alter the flavor, smell or taste of the diet we feed, so ingestion is pretty much guaranteed! Real "insurance" for reducing or preventing problems.
My 3 year old bearded dragon loves superworms and hornworms but isn't fond of his greens. I was looking for something that might help increase the nutritional value of when he does eat them so we can make the most of them. This easy spray helped and he seems to be eating more per day. For the complaint of the clogged spray bottle, keeping the cap on helps a lot. Also, running it under hot water for a few seconds clears it right up.
I wanted to love this simpler way to give my adult dragon his calcium. I don’t know what the heck happened but after about a week or two of using this he started getting sluggish and not wanting to eat. Also it has such an odd smell which should’ve been my warning not to use it. I’ve stopped using it and will only do dusting from now on.
I really like this product it works great for my beardies. It also adds other vitamins they need so if they are picky about food you don't have to worry as much that they are getting what they need. If they won't eat their veggies with it on it take 5 seconds and a little dropper and get them to take it that way mixed in a little water. Mine does it no problem. I always worry if they don't eat everything its sprayed on. So I just give it to them by mouth sometimes. I always keep a jar of the powder around too.
A lot of the reviews about this product say the nozzle gets clogged which made me hesitant about buying. I've had mine about a week and so far no issues. Also my beardie is usually super picky, but enjoys it when I spray it on his food. Would recommend.
Spray bottle constantly getting clogged. Super annoying.
Hoppy didn't eat his salad when we sprayed it. He's kinda fussy.
At first, I really liked this product. However, I had to replace the bottle because the liquid calcium hardened in the spray nozzle.
It’s so much easier than the calcium powder. Once you fix the food all you have to do is spray a little on it.
