Perfect for desert dwelling reptiles such as: adult bearded dragons, monitors, desert skinks and uromastyx.
The Zilla ground walnut bedding bags came in damaged, what I received seemed very nice. I wish I would have received the full amount of them though. Ordered four bags, got 2 full ones, and 2 open ones with a lot of the substrate rolling around inside the box. The exterior box was not damaged, so I'm not sure how these got packed the way they were.

My Bearded lady seems to really enjoy this sand she digs and burrows and I've noticed that it doesn't smell when its getting too be tank cleaning time and also in the parts of the tank I've been using this stuff for about a year with absolutely no issues to my reptile and it's an easy clean yes I definitely recommend chewy and this product
Very low dust!

Really like the consistancy and how little dust it has, I have asthma and it's been hard to find appropriate bedding and regular sand is no longer a safe option for me. I bought this for my sand boa so that he could have a more natural burrowing substrate and he seems to enjoy it much more than aspen. I have read bad things about using this bedding for lizards, and after working with it I don't feel it would be appropriate for my leopard geckos as it sticks badly as soon as it gets a hint of moisture, but I feed the snake out of its enclosure so I'm not worried about potential digestive issues with him.

I bought this item to fill some pincushions I made as gifts. It was about half the price of crushed walnut shells on the craft market and it worked great.
It's a little sharp

I'll admit, I know sand isn't the best substrate for a bearded dragon, especially with their floor-licking habits. But sometimes, reptile carpet is a hassle to keep clean and not aesthetically pleasing like loose substrate. This stuff looks pretty and is supposedly digestible, but I was surprised to learn that the tiny pieces are actually a little rough and sharp when you apply pressure. I can't imagine what it's like in a bearded dragon's tummy. This substrate looks pretty and might be good for potted plants or fairy gardens, but I'm sceptical about its safety in reptile cages. I will continue to look for other alternatives.

I have been using this reptile bedding by Zilla for a long time now. It's affordable. Works great. The only downside is that you guys have stopped carrying the bigger bags.
Not just for reptiles! LOL

I use this to stuff my pincushions. It works great! ANd it sharpens the needles as I use the pincushion. Not its intended purpose, but I love it!

Came early, low dust, plenty for our beardie! Zilla products have been excellent in past and not disappointed this time either! Will be ordering more of the litter from them.
My Beardy loves it

George loves this stuff!! He can dig away, I can sift, and there is not a ton of dust flying through the air.

I used this substrate for all my reptiles. Especially for my bearded dragons.
