Bulbs appeared used and burnt out in 2 days

Was excited to get these at a discount so I bought 2 sets of them (4 bulbs), and also bought a brand new dome because our old one was starting to fall apart. Upon opening the box to replace the current bulb I noticed the bulbs looked dusty and had smudges on them as if they were used. I didn’t really have any other option so I set up the new dome and plugged it in. This morning (2 days after replacing) the bulb burnt out. Just plugged in the new one so we will see how long that lasts. Unfortunate, maybe just a fluke but didn’t appear to be. We do not move the lights around at all and they are never disturbed so there is no chance from mishandling.

Could be better

I have gone threw so many different brands of heat bulbs in the 5 years I've had Finley (my 6yr old beardie). This one seems to be the best so far. It is heating up my 120gallon enclosure on the basking side quite nicely (I use 2 for basking.). The only real issue is packaging can cause them not to last as long. Some last a long time, while other not packaged well don't. It really depends but it's the best I've dealt with so far.

I received my product very quickly. The only complaint I have is the packaging. They don’t take the time to wrap it nicely it looks like they just throw it in a box to get it out the door. Please take the extra time to wrap it better for the customer it shows us how much you appreciate our business.

like the title says the bulbs either arrive dead or burn out in under a few weeks, the customer service is great in sending replacements however they still burn out too quickly or arrive broken

Sucks burnt out very quick

I ordered them and with in a week. Both bulbs were burnt out. And my laps are 100 watts so I don’t know what happened.

Both Burnt Out Within A Week!

I have used these for a few years and while the bulbs dont typically last as long as others, they are more affordable even if you have to buy them more often. Unfortunately that must mean they’re just made cheaper now because these bulbs have gotten steadily worse in the last year or two. The last time I needed a new bulb, I bought a box of these and BOTH bulbs burnt out within a week. I usually get at least 3 months out of one bulb. So this time I had to buy two boxes back to back just to have one basking bulb for my bearded dragon. $30 for 3 dead bulbs and one functional bulb is not exactly a deal.

I ordered these 5 months ago, and since then they both burned out. Luckily the warranty on this product is 6 months. I contacted Chewy, and they replaced the product with no issues. So I am disappointed the product only lasted a few months, but i am pleased that Chewy took care of this with no issues!
