The Ziwi Difference
Ziwi carefully crafts their food to mirror the whole-prey, meat-rich diet dogs and cats require for a long, happy, healthy life. Their small, dedicated team proudly handcrafts Ziwi in small batches each day. With a passion for pets around the world, they are driven to put the very best of their New Zealand home into every recipe.

Free-Range, Grass-Fed
All ingredients are sourced from the green, free-range farms and blue, pristine oceans of New Zealand. Meats are sourced from humane, ethical and sustainably managed local farms. And fish is caught in the southern oceans of New Zealand, strictly managed to ensure maximum sustainability.
Air-Dried Recipes
Ziwi naturally preserves their dry dog and cat food by air-drying it, eliminating the need for artificial preservatives, salts, sugars or glycerines. Their slow, gentle, twin stage air-drying process results in a food that's as nutrient-dense and digestible as a completely raw diet, but safe and clean to handle, and can store for up to 21 months. A little goes a long way, the recipes are so packed with the good stuff your pet needs to thrive, that you can actually feed him less than what you might be used to.

Moist Meal Options
Ziwi has moist dog and cat food recipe options too, Ziwi implements a small batch canning process to deliver high meat and moisture-rich recipes at higher can weights using the same free-range proteins that can be stored for up to three years.
Only the Good Stuff
Made with your pet's health in mind, Ziwi is made with absolutely no grains, corn, wheat, soy, rice, rendered meats, animal meals, meat by-products, cheap filler ingredients, starches like white potatoes and sweet potatoes, ethoxyquin, pea protein, salt, sugar, glycerine, artificial flavors or colors, antibiotics, growth hormones, or ingredients from China. Just pure New Zealand goodness that helps your pet thrive.

Happy Joints, Happy Pets
All Ziwi recipes include 3% New Zealand Green-Lipped Mussels, a natural source of glucosamine and chondroitin which support long-term joint health. The Green-Lipped Mussel may only be found in New Zealand, where it is farmed using ecologically-sustainable practices.
About Ziwi

cats love this stuff
By happycustomer on Feb 27, 2021
I was looking for a healthy alternative to dry food for my two overweight cats ages 15 and 16 on vet's advice. They were indifferent to other brands of wet food and only ate because they were starving. They really liked this ZiwiPeak recipe, and can't seem to get enough of it. It seems to be helping with their energy levels and their fur is becoming softer. I don't know if it has made any difference in their weight yet. My only worry is that they might start getting bored with the same thing every day.

Not worth it
By Ziwi on Feb 12, 2021
My poor senior cats rely on a variety of CKD foods and I saw Ziwi was recommended. This was not the food we hoped for. It is hard, no pate, smells awful and even my girl who loves all food turned her nose up at this one. This is expensive food but I'll be donating it to the domestic animal shelter. Maybe there one of the rescues will like it.

Be careful when you kid love the small size version
By Baiii on Jan 29, 2021
So it is weird. My cat loves the small oz version, the same flavor so I get the big oz version, but he gives a smell and runs away. He is picky so I stick to one brand, I just purchased a small oz version and he enjoys it. So I guess I need to leave this review for others who might want to try the bigger oz version. If your kid is picky and loves this brand, stick to the small version, don't switch.

Just went for it
By Zerochicken on Jan 31, 2021
We have a cat with a chicken allergy and finding a wet food with zero chicken that she likes is a pain. I was hesitant to try this because of the price. But I'm glad we did. Not only did our chicken allergy cat enjoy it but so did the other kitties to.

They used to like it
By CatHair on Nov 28, 2020
Our cats loved the Mackerel & Lamb flavor when we first tried it last year -- gobbled it up with gusto. But the recent batch is not as appealing. They will lick and eat it a bit when it is fresh out of the can, and again later if cold out of the fridge. I'm not sure if there has been a difference in the ingredients, but there has been a difference in our cats' palates for this flavor.

Not my kitty’s favorite flavor, but good product!
By Katt on Jan 1, 2021
My kitty went CRAZY for the Rabbit & lamb cans! He hasn’t been too crazy about this flavor though for some reason:( However I am pretty impressed with the quality and ingredients and feel good about feeding this brand to my baby:)

Always surpasses
By ZIWI on Dec 28, 2020
All of ZIWI food is top notch. Cats love this combo of Mackerel and Lamb. Both cats have food issues, but this one handles both the sensitive stomach and not having alot of teeth.

Absolutely amazing!

I fed my cat Purina beyond for a long time because that was the best food I found in grocery stores that I could afford. Her coat was always dull and she had a dandruff problem, along with frequent snoring and sneezing. Finally I decided to switch her to a healthier diet better suited for seniors. I decided on Ziwi peak after a few weeks of extensive research. It is quite expensive, to the point where I had to cut out other things in my lifestyle in order to afford it. However, now that she's been on it for about two months I have no regrets. It is 100% worth the price, and I actually feel bad for ever feeding her anything else. I was originally feeding her their dry food in the morning and wet food at nights, but for some reason she only liked the wet. That was okay with me because she got more hydration anyways. The companies customer service was also incredible and very helpful. If you're looking to find a good quality food for your cat but are worried about the price, I say go for it. It'll be worth it once you see the results. … more

Smells Awful
By beautyadornsvirtue on Sep 13, 2020
My three cats liked this...mostly. If I left it on the floor long enough, they'd finish it. For the price, though, I want my cats to go nuts over their food, so I'm not going to buy it again--plus, it smells awful. Not like it's gone bad, but it smells pretty much like you'd expect a paste of fish and lamb to smell...strong and gross. I hate the way it makes my kitchen smell.
