Is this really a balanced nutrition diet given that there are no greens/vegi or fruit in the ingredient? Please advise. Thanks!

This complete and balanced, limited-ingredient formula never include grains, corn, soy, potatoes, wheat, rice, fillers, sugars, glycerins, rendered meals or preservatives. It’s just as nutritious and digestible as a completely raw diet, in the convenient form of air dried.

How many scoops are there in the 2.2 lb bag? I have 2 dogs under 25lbs each and trying to figure out how much to order monthly.

The 1-pound bag contains approximately 8 scoops, the 2.2-pound bag contains approximately 18 scoops and the 5.5-pound bag contains approximately 44 scoops.

Where does the fat come from in this food? I thought venison was supposed to be lean?

Fat in ZIWI® Peak is the same as what naturally occurs in the meat of the source species. The percentage may look high because of the low moisture in air-dried ZIWI® Peak. But on an as-fed basis Ziwi Peak's veterinary experts advise that the levels are the best for cats and dogs, just as they would consume naturally in the wild.

There was a deal on this food so I decided to try it for unique training treats. The ingredients are impressive, and I especially like the fact the food contains

There was a deal on this food so I decided to try it for unique training treats. The ingredients are impressive, and I especially like the fact the food contains green lipped mussels. Unfortunately, my dogs were just not a fan of this food. When you open the bag, you notice that there isn't much of a smell to it. I expected the venison, given the price unique protein, so be something my dogs wanted to work for. I will try to lamb and mackerel (the other flavor I ordered) and see if that makes a difference.

Dog goes crazy for it!

I rarely leave reviews unless I come across an exceptional product. My 3-year-old Cavapoo, Mochi, has always been extremely picky and has struggled with a sensitive stomach and skin issues. Despite trying multiple high-quality dog food brands, the problems persisted without improvement. During my search for a solution, I learned that venison-based dog food is known for being gentle on digestion. I decided to give it a try, and I'm thrilled with the results! Mochi loves the venison dry food, and her stools have been consistently firm lately. I’m so relieved to have finally found a food that works for her!

probably great but won't buy it again

It was my fault that I did not think about it was only 35.2oz. Because it's over 90% a bag, I thought it was like 22 lb or something. I was looking for a dog food

It was my fault that I did not think about it was only 35.2oz. Because it's over 90% a bag, I thought it was like 22 lb or something. I was looking for a dog food I can rotate with Open Farm. There is no way I could afford this food to have it for a rotation. For the price only, I will not buy this any more. I am in search for no checken, lamb, beef or port. Wasted my money ... but my own faul not paying close attention.
