    Quality Food

By Cagg on Mar 6, 2021

I changed my chihuahua’s food from Natural Balance Sweet Potato and Venison to Ziwi Peak Vension. The Natural Balance is basically all potato and I felt he wasn’t getting a quality food. He loves the Ziwi and I have no problem getting him to eat. He’s thriving! It is expensive but he’s worth it lol.

    Last shipment is bad

By Sophie on Jan 7, 2021

I order this product all the time, and my dogs like it. I've just opened the 3rd can in my last shipment, and all three cans smell nasty. This food smells somewhere in the range of a nasty cigar and poop. My dogs are not eating this. I have to question ZIWI quality control. This product should not have been shipped. I think it's possibly tainted.

    Excellent for picky eaters

By KimberlyR on Nov 12, 2020

Our mini poodle is a very picky eater. I have been making her food for years as she would not eat any prepared dog food. On a recommendation I first tried the Ziwi air dried lamb and she LOVED it. Recently I decided to try the the Ziwi canned venison to add some moisture into her diet and she can’t get enough of it. She actually looks forward to her meals now instead of me having to coax her into eating! I know this brand is on the expensive side, but because it has so much protein, the serving size is much smaller.

Better than freeze dried organ meat

By BlindPup on Jan 10, 2021

Pure medicine meal for our pups. The senior(18+) has once again found bounce to his step. Freeze dried formulas gave diarrhea. This is baby like poop, a bit more robust in nature. But such is life

    Food allergy problems

By Patricia on Jun 7, 2020

I tried this food as a last resort for my white rough collie, who has had allergies with food ever since I rescued him ten years ago. It appeared when I changed his food that it worked for a short time, but then back to the same ole biting, chewing and loss of hair in patches and hot spots. This is the only food that has worked for him, has been about six months since he has been on it. His skin is clear, and itching and chewing has stopped. What a relief!! This food does not have any additives like chicken fat, potato protein, berries mixes of which he is allergic to also. I also add a little dry kibble to it, GO Petcurean Venison, (amazingly he eats the kibble too after he has eaten all I tried this food as a last resort for my white rough collie, who has had allergies with food ever since I rescued him ten years ago. Excellent food, but price is a bit crazy!

    By LolasHuman on Jul 17, 2019 top500Contributor

I needed a novel protein, limited ingredient diet for my girl who is having some tummy issues. I am very particular about what my pup eats, but this is a food I feel good about feeding. Plus, my very picky little dog LOVES this food...she gets so excited when I am scooping it out of the can and whines until I put the bowl down. The only downside is the price. All Ziwi Peak is pricey, but the Venison in particular is a little outrageous. But, even so, Chewy's prices are equal to or better than anyone else's. Just hoping my little girl's stomach stabilizes enough that I can start trying some of Ziwi Peak's other, more affordable varieties!

Ziwi Peak Venison canned dog food

    By Dogscat on Jun 3, 2019 top250Contributor

Since our 3 dogs love the Ziwi Venison air dry food, thought I would try the canned for Riki since she has no teeth and our Rey, only 4 teeth. Riki loves it, Rey & Sofi like it but both prefer the Blue Divine Delights we have been giving them for years also from Chewy.com.

    Food is Super-SALES TAXES SUK

By JimV on Jun 10, 2018

Chewy's now collection of sales taxes really do SUK. Chewy's USED to be the go to place for pet foods with free shipping and no sales taxes. Now, we might as well shop at home, as Chewy has lost the edge of best pricing. So Sad.

    Great taste, my dog's favorite

By CooLMom on Mar 22, 2018

Simple ingredient from New Zealand, so the only down thing is this wet food is very pricy, almost 4 times more than what he used eat. He has bad food allergy and this food works for him and smells good even for me.
