A good starting choice for most reptiles.

Typically digital thermometers are much more accurate than the "dial" thermometers that stick to tank walls. The only downside is you have to place the cord where you want the temperature to be read, so it can look a bit funny, and sometimes your pet may knock them around. But there's home solutions for this problem, and it's better to be safe than sorry with temp accuracy. We've used the first we ordered for our Western hognose, and it's worked out with us placing the unit outside the cage and leaving the cord inside. Just ordered 2 more. Make sure you place it on the warm side of the cage, though you can get another for the cool side to make sure you have a proper gradient. During water changes or just at random times I need to make sure my tank is at the correct water temperature. It's easy to setup you just place the battery in and mount it to the tank. The temperatures are accurate and it's honestly a necessity.

    Decent for the price

I had one in the past that worked sometimes. I was optimistic about buying a new one. So far it works great. It won’t stick to the cage and the wire is ugly. My lizard likes to pull it down. You get what you pay for with this product.

    Fast Delivery but........

I ordered 6 digital thermometers. 2 didn’t work, the packages were ripped and bent. It looked like my order was just “thrown” together. I love how quickly it gets shipped to me but I would appreciate a little more courtesy on packing. Thank you.

    Works pretty well!

I've had two or three of these over the past few years; they tend to last pretty well, they give a quick temperature read, and I've had it malfunction a couple times but for the most part it's easy to reset, position, and work with!

    sturdy and easy to use

We have a few of these in various reptile set ups, and they work great. They run on a small watch battery which each new thermometer comes with. The cord is long enough to stay stuck to the outside of the enclosure but still allow the probe to be moved around inside the tank or tub to check temps. The probe end is waterproof. Easy to use and read the display. Fahrenheit or Celsius. I recommend 1 for each reptile set up you have.
