Moisten food with water and allow it to sit for 3-5 minutes in order for carrots and sweet potatoes to become saturated and create a flavorful mash that Tortoises live. To help Tortoises acclimate to new food, thoroughly mix small amounts of the current diet into the moistened food. Slowly reduce the amount of current diet offered at each feeding until your tortoise has switched over completely. Offer food on a free choice basis and replace food daily.
