Can you use this instead of live bugs?

This food can be used for a leopard gecko. However, it is recommended to supplement it with a vitamin and calcium supplement. If the gecko is used to eating foods that are alive and moving it may take some time to get them switched over to the new food. We recommend putting some of this food in their dish and then put in something that is moving to get your animals attention like a cricket or meal worm. Once they start coming over and eating the live insects from the dish they may get some of the leopard gecko food and then start realizing that its food. This process could take several weeks depending on the animal.

would this be good to go with the anole or would there be no point to get the two together

This may be combined with the Zoo Med Anole Food, however it is not necessary.
