  • YOU GET A LOT.....But?

    By on

Huge amount of food for a great price. However my turtles will not eat it. It sits there and swells up. I took it out of the tank. I did not feed them all day and tried again, but not one of them ate it. I put a different brand pellet later and they ate it all. ( 10 inch, 5 inch and 4 inch redear) my rating is based only on my experience with my three I guess ultra picky turtles. I am stuck with a jar 99% full. Most likely I will donate it to the animal rescue.

  • Good Food Better Value!

If you get the big jar you'll save a ton compared to pet stores! My turtle has no issue eating this food on her pellet days. Since pellets aren't a main source to feed your turtle this huge jar will last forever! It's been opened for a good 2 months now and we barley made a dent with my red wares slider.

  • Turtle loves it

Every morning, I give the turtle about 6 pellets. He eats them right up, and then gets some dried shrimp for “dessert”. He’s grown substantially on this food, is very active and healthy. What’s better, it doesn’t cloud the water nor is there any foul smell.

I usually go to the pet store to get this and it's twice as much! When I paid for this I thought it would be a small jar. I was pleasantly surprised when it came and it's a giant jar! Yay!

  • Great floating food

The package was delivered two days after I ordered it and I was surprised by how big it was; it's a great replacement for the small store bought cans that I bought every month. I was using wardley/reptomin floating pellets before and the food in this package is more sphere shaped like dog food that stick shape like the pellets I had been using, so I thought I'd have to wean my RES into eating them, but she had no problem eating the new pellets and they seem to me like they have more substance; one pellet is equivalent to two sticks. My only complaint is that the pellets seem to be more oily than the others I've used in the past, but that's easy to overlook. They're is waste from sinking pellets but it's better than the Wardley product. Right now it's the only food he'll eat. When I reorder it will be the larger size.
